Looks solid! Saw some comparisons to the 6950xt and am glad I waited. I think that 4070ti super will be my next purchase, should add a bit of a boost and will still be a dual slot card if the pics I saw of the MSI Slim version were accurate. Thanks for the review Hilbert!

Decent bump in performance I suppose. Problem is, Nvidia officially sells FE cards in only a handful of countries. I'd say 98% of potential customers globally don't have access to officially buy FE card at MSRP.

Decent increase in performance. Like many have said what 4070 should have been from the start. Im still hesitant to recommend a 12gb gpu in 2024 and expect it to run with all the RT/PT. You can clearly see the drop of in performance when upping the resolution. At 1440p it looks good atleast at this moment. For me and my 34" 3440x1440 im looking at 16gb minimum these days.

I don't understand why CP2077 isn't used as a benchmark,

There are numerous MSRP cards from AIB partners, so the issue of unavailability of the FE cards should not be a problem.Unless of course you are enamored with the cooling solution NVIDIA uses on the FE cards, in that case you are SOL when the FE cards are not available in your country.

It's used in the DLSS page. We had it in our regular benchmarks a while ago as well, but each patch that got released killed the benchmark scores with weird anomalies, and we can't keep re-doing them for the sake of time.

I'm becoming more and more convinced that the 4070TiS will be the best of this entire stack - the 4090 obviously notwithstanding.

If it had more VRAM I would upgrade to that. But alas, Nvidia is gonna do the Nvidia thing.

performance where 4070 should been, now if only price was $100 lower

Unfortunately, in countries where no FE is sold from Nvidia's website, partner cards also get overpriced by greedy retailers. They do not have to compete with Nvidia's stable price and can do whatever. Usually +100, +200 Euros markup.

The FE is listed at ~ €685 here.

Cant wait to see the AIB tax on top of that.

strange thing here - where Nvidia is HQ'd a 10 minute drive away - the FE's unless bought directly from Nvidia are always more expensive than an AIB solution. primarily due to wc enthusiasts buying these for loops. most blocks are for FEs and are almost immediately (2-3 months) available vs. AIB blocks

Nice ! The market is slowly healing. Slowly. But at least it is. If the trend continues, next gen will definitely be interesting, from both sides !

Prices need to go down more hopefully AMD will respond with some price cuts on the 7000 series.

I would rather AMD responded with better RT performance.

RTX4000 series continues to offer the best feature set and efficiency with great performance. The supers will sell very well.

21% more cores at a bin or two higher clocks, with 10% increased TDP, netting ~15% more performance? I'm just moving along, thanks.

They seem like a decent enough upgrade over their predecessors - and had these cards been released a year ago they'd be a whole lot more attractive. I feel though that coming this late in the cycle a lot of people will be on the fence whether to just wait it out until the 5000s. Pricing seems to have settled, and barring any other unforeseen worldwide calamities, it's unlikely the future gen will see a significant price bump. That said, I'm still looking forward to the other two.
