Is it just me or card is really underwhelming for the price. At 1080p jumps between 3080 and 3080ti but as soon you up the resolution to 1440p performance suffer significantly barely matching 3080 and 6800xt. At 4k its slower than 3080 and people say memory bandwidth does not matter it has huge L2 cache. 😀

4 resolution average. https://i.imgur.com/8vlewuw.jpeg yawn. not gonna pay 200eur premium for this and dlss over the 6800. maybe 100. I'm sure rt is great, though the card should have 16gb to avoid the 3070 situation in 3 years, where rt performance starts being limited by vram and you have to start tinkering with textures. Not that I think it makes a big difference, I know it doesn't, just don't wanna bother. will be waiting for n32 and then decide.

I love the review(s) especially the last 2 graphs of FPS/$ and FPS/Watt! I'm looking at the 7900XTX now! 😀

Paying extra for not dealing with AMD gpu drivers is worth more than 100$ 😀

Awesome card ! Same price as last gen, same performance as last gen. True progress, nVidia style !

amd drivers are fine. what is your problem with them specifically ?

amd's mid range alternative: go buy old 300w cards that are sitting on shelves instead. and forget about good image reconstruction technology too. but at least you get to keep ray tracing and textures at the same time to play at 30fps with no vram spill.

Nvidia 3070 announcement - faster than 2080ti for 499$! Nvidia 4070 announcement - matching 3080 for the same price. :p

I have more problem with Nvidia drivers than AMDs nowadays. Most of my friend says the same too. This shitting on AMD drivers are getting old, really, same as the old times favourite : Amd hot, intel cool.

thanks for including 3080 12G in the summary chart HH, didn't see it anywhere else. I think a used one might be the way to go. Performance is really good and I don't need dlss FG, I'll get it when I see it's ready.

Who cares what the MSRP was 2 years ago ? It's about the price where 3080 or 6800XT can be found today. Both roughly equal or cheaper than this new card...

No the best thing to do is get the used 3090. It will outlast all these cards.

sure buddy. Anyway, this card... I would never buy it. Its another in the line of 40xx which makes no sense. So far, only 4090 and MAYBE 4080 makes sense. Bad times :X Also 12gb is dead on arrival. It does NOT suffice TODAYS games, let alone games in 2 years.

Wanst the nvidia driver not long ago that made cpu usage unusually high? The hot fix for hot fix fixed that lol
6% CPU utilization vs losing your Win with hundred dollars worth of software, I think I will pick the first option

Windows 11 bricked itself because it's a pos. I used that option on AMD drivers on Windows 10 exactly when this debacle happened, and guess what... everything was fine. The main culprit for that problem is Microsoft, not AMD. Or, if you want to be "politically correct", they are both guilty. But I lean more on Microsoft, since that cr4p doesn't happen on the much more stable Windows 10.

Weird that it didn't happen with Nvidia, who has 80% of marketshare, weird...
