Nah. Gona skip anything above 250watts .
I see we are going back to Fermi era.
What i care right now is perf/watt.
As perf/$ is irrelevant as price doesn't exist anymore.....

Mining isnt the only thing impacting GPU availability. Insufficient chip production is the main one.

1.) That would be awesome if the miners get screwed over with warranty work find a way for Nvidia and AMD to legally do it due from the manner of how it's used in very small small small print.
2.) Find a way to brick or render them useless.
3.) Give Hillary Clinton a framing hammer and let her do what she does best........................................ ;-) Sorry I'm shot it's like 3am.

Meh. I just want a fair priced gpu again.. is that so much to ask?
Nvidia stop being such a greed machine all of the sudden. It's like gpus now are a luxury or some bs xD
Here I was back in 2020 thinking 3070rtx for 500e was a lot.. never mind 3080rtx for 800e.

they should just delay the release of these cards at this point since they still sell everything they can make and all these cards will do at this point is make mining more profitable and continue to screw over gamers.

In my humble opinion I truly think the power draw is clear evidence of higher mining efficiency. Of course these cards will give us better gaming yields but the Crypto Currency miners will be all over this tech. AMD and Nvidia made a killing off of this base. The 3rd party producers made huge profits as well.
This makes me wonder if we're going to see a trend of gamers being one generation behind going forward? Prime example. Many gamers could not get their hands on a 3000 series GPU but when the 4000 series becomes available for miners, this will free up some Ampere cards to purchase. Nvidia and AIB's may keep manufacturing 3000 series after the release of 4000 series cards. Many gamers are eager to upgrade and may settle for the ampere tech due to the Lovelace cards being gobbled up by miners. The same goes for AMD many people could not get their hands on a 6000 series GPU at MSRP or a respectable price.
I'm not a negative Ned or a conspiracy theorist. I'm just using my common sense. If this trend of shortages continues, I truly can't see how the gaming industry is going to flourish. Many programmers are still working from home, Console shortages, Gpu shortages etc etc. Could we see another 1983 through 1985 happening? This could happen just out of pure frustration and consumers saying screw the game industry.
Just a thought.

@TheDigitalJedi thing is even the 2xxx and 3xxx series when the 4xxx series get released , if they are still profitable to run there is no reason for miners to not keep em going , for the cards to be ditched will have to stop being profitable.... Difficulty rising eventually will do that but as far the price of crypto keeps outpacing the difficulty rise on the average .... It is making em even more profitable 😏, even if the crypto bubble does not have a sudden burst but a slow over time deflation to normalisation eventually it will happen ... Or ideally there will be a new crash and overnight mining on a gpu will loosing miners money 😛

Hampered compute on $1000+ parts should not be something to celebrate honestly. I have never even mined in my life, but I would be really annoyed if my 3090 was LHR.
