As long as it has got 24gbs of Vram and 10496 Cuda cores then it doesn't really matter about the typo error. What probably happened is demand for 3090 is still super strong so they decided to just make more of those than making cheaper products with it. If 3090 is selling at £2000+ still then nVidia isn't gonna lock down many chips for 3080Ti's. This might mean 3080Ti's could be able to be unlocked so it has same Cuda core count as 3090 but with half vram. I think 3080Ti will be closer to £1500 with current pricing as my 3090 is costing £2200 from you know who .co.uk but to get a 3090 i had to buy a full PC which cost an eye watering £4000 so i basically got all the parts i wanted that way but spent nearly a grand over retail from retail. lol.

No it wont. nVidia themselves were the ones who started the trend of laser cutting working parts instead of just locking them through the BIOS. The only exception in an eternity that I can think of that wasn't laser cut since nVidia popularized it was the Radeon 6K series, not the current 6K series, the one a million years ago. Prices were nuts (and yet it's many times worse now) so I said fuck it and bought a Radeon 6950 and unlocked it to the full blown 6970. But in the current climate of anything they make being insta-sold at any price they're not going to downgrade any 3090-capable chips to 3080/Tis, they're only going to use actual defects to make lower models, so don't expect real stock of the 3080 Ti just as there's been a drought of 3080s.

Here's a reveal of a card you'll never get to buy. What's the point?

RavenMaster:

Could mean the RTX3080Ti is the exact same chip as the RTX3090, minus half the VRAM.
225 is the 3080 Ti, its the same spec as 3080 with 12GB vram.
