As long as it has got 24gbs of Vram and 10496 Cuda cores then it doesn't really matter about the typo error.
What probably happened is demand for 3090 is still super strong so they decided to just make more of those than making cheaper products with it.
If 3090 is selling at £2000+ still then nVidia isn't gonna lock down many chips for 3080Ti's. This might mean 3080Ti's could be able to be unlocked so it has same Cuda core count as 3090 but with half vram.
I think 3080Ti will be closer to £1500 with current pricing as my 3090 is costing £2200 from you know who .co.uk but to get a 3090 i had to buy a full PC which cost an eye watering £4000 so i basically got all the parts i wanted that way but spent nearly a grand over retail from retail. lol.
