Whatever you think if the company make more pink colorsheme thing, is that they sell them quite well, and the curve is parallel with the volume of young girl and woman that use and play computer for leasure. Also a point if you show faster ram or pink hardware (despite i would argument about fast ram) she would take pink hardware (or hello kitty too), so yes this color is a massive sale argument for some of them and those who doen't care still have the white or black one (as hopefully not everyone like pink) So if this feminine customer want pink stuff they will have pink stuff, if man want them pink, then they can buy it too. Company doesn't care about stereotype or gender... Only money matter. Right now, there is a pressure for doing everything "genderless", i think it is a fail, the world is so full of contradiction there should be genderless stuff AND gendered stuff too. While i agree with you, pink isn't always feminine, until early XX century, little boy where in pink (and in dress), there is rugby team in pink, i even had a track car in pink in the past and it wasn't feminine at all, etc etc

Pink may or may not be a preferred female color, but for sure it will close off a significant part of the male consumer market. Most men simply will not buy pink. It may be related to a deeply ingrained insecurity about manhood (or not), but for marketing purposes tech manufacturers are aware enough of that to not use it as a product color. There may be the odd exception to the rule (as in this case), but thats what it is, an exception.
