Now we can "assume" that there will be a more power hungry version possibly branded the Ti.....?? I like the low power consumption, but would like the ability to throw as much as I want to at it. I like what I've seen so far......., but am not sure that I'll be selling off the OG TITAN's just yet. Not sure, but 3rd party board makers can always add their own "Powah" to their particular setups right...?? Could not imagine having a couple of these cards with the ability to throw much more power at it right out of the box.

Thanks, but no thanks. What we see there is only the cover, not what's inside. 😀 Btw the Card is too long!!!Because of GDDR5 or GDDR5X??? Wait for Hbm or Hbm2 cards,I know will be expensive but woth it. Hope to see soon the specs and benches.

Yeah, wth is up with the 2-piece backplate O.o?

I'm looking forward to the 2.5Ghz overclocked monster 3rd party cards. I'm betting 2.5ghz is possible with the really high end binned chips. A reference card from Nvidia that boosts to 21-2200mhz which is way over the estimated 1800mhz. My 980 G1 has this same behavior as it says 1329 but mine boosts to over 1400mhz without any overclocks. No where near that 1080 but maybe they used only really high ASIC cards.

Does anyone want to buy 980 SLI? £210 per card! haha. I'm def getting me a 1080.

The cooler design leak made it seem more edgy and ugly but it's actually quit nice IMO

Any news on when we can expect a review?

Again, the only reason we had a 980-Ti was to answer Fury-X. With Polaris 10 maybe not even matching 1070, they'll probably release a 1060-Ti yeah...

AFIK 980TI was first. Fury X was an AMD release to "fight" the already present 980TI not the other way around.

Let's do the work lol: Fury X was released on June 24, 2015. 980-Ti was released on June 2, 2015. Given the time it takes to release such product, R&D etc... , they're both fighting on the same market segment, at the same timeframe. But "Who shot first?", we'll never know indeed. My bet is AMD worked on Fury-X, Nvidia heard of it and brought their cutdown version of Titan-X to compete: 980-Ti. Anyway they at least had both suspicion about the market positionning of their opponent. But here it's pretty clear AMD has nothing in stock to compete with 1080. Not until Vega at least. So why waste money in R&D and Marketing etc... for a 1080-Ti? there would be no point at all.

Both are on the same segment but 980TI came first.:D I agree: there is no reason for 1080TI if AMD has not a "secret weapon" coming next weeks. Smart move from Nvidia releasing a premium OC version with binned chips. Maybe we'll see a 1080TI after next January (?) GP100 release.

Look, it's obvious that Nvidia from this architecture has at least 2 products that are better than GTX1080 lined-up, ready-to-go when AMD strikes.

No doubt saves them some manufacturing costs.

They've got two shots left anyway: HBM and bigger die size. They could market it GTX11XX too... 'full DX12 support blabla'

This kinda looks like a spiritual successor to the GTX 680.
