There is somewhere. The UI is awful but it's in there.... left of the setting cog privacy settings Jeez these guys really know how to produce a fussy confusing UI
You're not wrong there! :bang: EDIT: Ok I found it, it brings up a list and privacy is at bottom, in there is the Desktop capture setting BUT: It doesn't work! lol. Turned it on. No overlay, status icon nor FPS, fired up NMS, nothing...back to old version...forever I guess 🙂 Another EDIT: It does work, but you have to start recording before the overlay shows up. Which is really stupid. I want to know the thing is on before I press record. Stupid... I mean for most games I'd be full screen but NMS has to run borderless and use desktop capture in order for recording to work. This just makes it tedious. Uninstalling as we speak.

Yeah this sht has to stop. Everyone who dissagrees with it is 100% tarted person or just very dumb. Thats one of the main reasons of password hacking. People are super bound to use same passwords. I think ordinary pc gamer has to have around 200 logins all tied to one or couple of different emails. Good luck using new passwords for everything. forums require passwords, games, now, software.. like a virus. Also how the hell teens are able to read EULA is beyond human comprehension. Also who cares about eula to play a stupid game. And who wants to reach age 18 or 20 to be allowed to read eula?

Oh golly. If they really do that....I think there will be a bloody (green) revolution uprising against NVidia! Or what, we'll be forced to download drivers from torrent sites or something, increasing risk...bah. I hope that doesn't happen.

Uninstalled it immediately. I didn't buy these games from Nvidia, so it's none of their business what I own except the graphics card I bought from them.

Never used it, always uncheck it during driver installs

That's great for you, but shadowplay is very handy for those of us who record and uses little to no resources and doesn't require you to even open GFE once setup. Just because you never used it, doesn't mean that others don't and the new interface etc is so bad, it's beyond a joke.

In Task Scheduler or, specifically, through CCleaner listing the tasks. I noticed Nvidia had added about 4 or 5 of them, which I immediately deleted. I used CCleaner to view and delete.
Had to quote you again just to get your attention and thank you. Why you might ask? Well, while I may have found the scheduled tasks thing anyway as I'm fairly meticulous, I may not have noticed right away. And, here's the stinger: I uninstalled it and the scheduled tasks were not removed! Thanks CCleaner (and you, sir!) 🙂

and therein lies the problem. Competing overlays and unnecessary complexity causing issues and performance degradations. How many overlays are we going to have? Steam and Afterburner and now GFE? It's not uncommon for overlays to not work together and I have seen the issue of GFE causing my card not to clock down if it was left on post game. Too much guff, too much data mining and if this is the future then prepare your teats for you are about to be milked.
Performance degradations? :eyes: I run Steam (with enabled overlay) + MSI Overlay + this GFE. I test the games with and without this programs. No FPS change.

My pleasure. Unforgivable that the tasks were not removed after uninstall.

In my opinion, the recording feature in MSI Afterburner is way better. If you haven't tried it, you may want to check it out.

I'd like to understand what you're trying to say What's the age limit? Same as emails? 13+? That's not a bad thing, but you're wrong that "is most useful" to that demographic, I think you're a little mistaken about the gamer demographic......Most of us are well over 20, 30 and even 40+ The game profiles always required the internet. The login part isn't really a big deal. one can always stick with older versions of GFE anyway. Personally I never use the profiles anyway as they are often the complete OPPOSITE of OPTIMAL lol. I'm sure many have noticed this.
Is it Nvidia's job to be some sort of game police? Just look at Steam, they done it right with family view, no need for Nvidia coming up with this kind of restriction, besides that, a fake email account can be used for an Nvidia account anytime, so that kinda counterfeits Nvidia's idea, pointless that they even added it for the whole thing. It is more useful for a young gamer that has no idea what all the settings mean than an old-timer, even if not all of them are optimal they still offer usable performance, rather that than to much image quality.

Better? No. MSI is not recording ENB/ReShade DLL modified games. Fraps, ShadowPlay, PlayClaw is recorded...

Funny that those who this app is most useful are excluded with an age restriction when trying to create an Nvidia account.
This has to be the best comment I have read in ages. I applaud.

This will end up with paying monthly for using graphic cards, otherwise drivers wont work without it 😀 And then, they wont have to sabotage older gpus thru drivers in order to sell u basically same card with tweak or two. Now I have driver to install to see if dxva still bugs clock controls on gcn1 cards.

^ What he said.

Mandatory login? Whatever. No problem. What I really would like to have is unattended driver update option. New drivers would update quietly the way my Windows is updating.

Are you talking about that Rebrandeon 7870 of yours or about Nvidia? :O
