Just a dumb question, are these hotfixes only for that game or fixes the same thing like for a game using the same game engine?
There are no thumb questions, they supposed to fix the mentioned games in the first post , with the same engines as you play it usual the 516.59 WHQL driver 🙂

this is not on the page, shouldn't advertise fixes for things that aren't comfirmed.

Wow what a hotfix, Destiny 2 just crashes and wolfenstein Youngblood too. those games didn't crash, with the 516.59 both games didn't crash, playing both games for hours an hours back to 516.59, other games and Halo Infinite ran well with the hot fix. It's the first time for me that i have troubles with a hotfix driver.
Clean install the driver, these games work fine.

ASUSU GPU Tweak Tool v2.1.9.1 stopped working, the GPU 1660gtx began to overheat (89+). The problem was solved by reinstalling old drivers (516.59). Temperature max 83.

Clean install the driver, these games work fine. I always do an clean install with DDU twice and the games i mentioned crashes twice with this half hotfix i wonder when the 2nd half comes. 516.59 installed and both and other games works perfect.

Here to complain that the driver won't recognize most GamePass / Windows Store games I throw it, still. I have to go and use Profile Inspector, extract the profile, add the UWP executable, and re-insert the profile, for the control panel to see them properly. This is an intern's job, please have someone do it. I can report later about the HDMI issues. I have a C9 and a Samsung HW-Q950T. With the latest updates to Dolby Access I can finally have proper Atmos with the bar once again.

Now Nvidia is fixing bugs more than improving drvers, lot of people are waiting for fixing stuttering, fps drops, driver strength, etc..why the hell they took this way of implementing useless features like geforce experience crap, we don't need that, most of us "initiated" can tweak driver and games without those useless things that sometimes are worse than leaving all by default ?? 😉
You won't be getting any performance improvements with that card.

Hello everyone. Today we released a new GeForce Hotfix Display Driver v516.79 which contains a newer HD audio driver. For users who are seeing the issue below, we ask if you could give the driver a try and share your feedback

@valorex tagged just in case you want to add this to main post
Will check it out over the next days. I am using a secondary connection to a C1 OLED through a Denon X1700H, and was getting audio drop outs each hour or so for 1-2 sec. These do seem to happen more often under high system load (CPU or GPU). Not related to Dolby Atmos in any way though.

What's your Windows audio output to that Denon?

Do you need the fixes mentioned in the first post? If no, then don't worry about it.

7.1 24b 192kHz PCM But I don't think that it depends on the format really as I vaguely remember getting same issues on 2.0 24b/44kHz too.

Can you do me a huge favor? Can you send to it Atmos for Home Theater, play a game that doesn't use Atmos, and tell me what input format your Denon says it is? The more detail the better.

I have had a few crashes in Apex, I just assumed it was the patch last week, will give this hotfix a try. thanks for posting!

I’m curious, what game comes with Dolby Atmos? I’ve never been able to make it work before. I always get 7.1 pcm that my Denon changes to Dolby surround. However after updating a driver or two ago games only pass through as multi channel in.

Crazy.. I have 2042, Jedi fallen order and RE village. I’ve never seen the option or them working with Dolby.

You need to set Windows to Atmos for Home Theater. One of the games I play now that have it are RE2 and Cyberpunk, from other games I have it's also Shadow of the Tomb Raider. I was asking dr_rus what's the output when you set it to Atmos for Home Theater without actually playing an Atmos game. I suspect it just sends Dolby MAT 7.1, but my sound bar doesn't say what it is unless it's Atmos or DTS:X
