Noticed in the pdf they mention adding an SLI profile for Borderlands 2. Wonder if this helps with performance?

@ NeoandGeo - I might be wrong but those release notes look like the same ones that have been recycled for all the 305.xx and 30x.xx drivers so far. As such I believe the Borderlands 2 profile will be exactly the same as the one in the 306.23 WHQL and 306.63 developer drivers.

Wow first r306 branch, cool thanks for info. I gonna test this now, im at 306.23 atm. I was at 306.63 but I got some gfx anomaly in Crysis2 MP menu (suit settings, mini videos). It looked like a issue with opened menu and in game level (it happened while i was still in that menu), then I got greeted with colorful gfx corruption all over the place.. Usually I quit that menu before the game loads next level, so idk if its 306.63 specific or not..

Don't seem to be able to install these, installer just closes after I agree and accept blah blah.

If you want perfect performance in Borderlands 2, you´ll need another card for physx. With my 670 sli setup, the game runs perfect 60fps with physx on high. You cant get that with just one card i believe, not with physx on high, maybe on medium but not on high.

Depends which INF is used. If you downloaded US driver then you need US INF. I downloaded US and here is US x64bit Windows Vista/7/8 INF. http://www.mediafire.com/?dgdb7zwn9bij6cj Edit: its US on both UK and US server. And that INF in first post looks like its International.

One 680 should be enough to handle the game completely maxed out seeing as the 570/580 can do it without problem. There is a known issue with 6xx series cards having poor CPU utilization due to drivers and game optimization.

I play Borderlands 2 maxed out perfectly with my overclocked 670 and i didn't experience any frames drop or lag at all. I don't think i will notice a big difference with a second 670...

How come the INF file that comes with the driver is named 'nvdispi.inf'? Does that mean the modded one has to have the same name or will 'nvdisp.inf' (as linked by -Tj- above) still work?
https://forums.guru3d.com/data/avatars/m/242/242471.jpg
that nvdispi.inf is for international, at least it looks so. When I downloaded US it was just nvdisp.inf. edit: hmm my INT doesnt work (i removed it, use the one from thread starter), strange and i used 306.23 gpu strings too, gonna try US INF.. Edit2: ok my US INF with US driver works fine and lets me through. btw, its still openGL4.2., not that it matters much.

Sorry guys, i just tested playing with one card and sure enough it did run fine with physx on high with one card. I just thought it wouldnt because the previous poster wanted more performance from sli profiles? So my bad... 🙂

Ps. Must say that this game is very well optimized for being such a "high physx quality effects game"?! 🙂

Arhh. Thought it was a new official whql for all cards. Still hanging with 306,23.

I have a feeling, a good feeling that it was cheaper for Nvidia to do it this way, Instead of releasing multiple drivers. I got used to this with my GTX 580's when i had them. Just use the modded INF posted in this thread, it will be fine.

Yeah, really looking forward to see/read how these perform in games like BF3 vs 306.23/306.63.

I grabbed the one from the Nvidia site and used the modified ini you provided (thanks for that btw), setup still just closes and I have to end it from task manager... Edit: Just restarted, fixed it. Durr.
