Memory with faster clock-speed offsets issues with timing, of course it depends to an extent but with speeds like that I wouldn't be overly concerned. Depending on what you're doing and the platform, that sort of speed can be a benefit. Obviously we're not just talking about gaming in this scenario. As for what the point of it is? What's the point of advancement at all? Why not just stop pushing boundaries? I see thread after thread like this, where people usually take the piss. That it's worthless, so why bother? Remind me again, am I on a tech enthusiast website?
