i wonder what speed those memory reach on ryzen/threadripper. If they would it more than 3600 would be cool for some benchmarking to see what you gain.

Wondering the same. Ryzen and Intel could both use it!

Still limited by memory controller. I have the exact same RAM (16GB per stick, 4000MHz 19-19-19-39 gskill tridentz, 4 sticks) and the most I can do is 3333, same as the 3600 kit I had before. TR 2950x, asrock taichi x399. Have to wait for zen 2 to get better ram mhz or get silicon lottery.

So i should stop trying to send my 3200 flare X at more than 3266. Either memetest or prime95 fail at 3333

I've been able to get my TridentZ 3600 stable at 3466 with a 2700X and ASRock x470-itx/ac motherboard. The one Threadripper workstation we have does 3600, 16GB x 4 with XMP profile no problem.

tried throwing more voltage at it? I've never had any high speed RAM that didn't need a slight bump.

Isnt 1.45v a little too high for the imc in the ryzen? I've read that you shouldn't go much more than 1.4v on ryzen, personally on my 1600 I can do 3133 at 1.43v with gskill ripjaws v 3200 (hynix). Ultimately I settled at 3000 1.35v with slightly better timings but worse performance overall I'm hoping the new ryzen 2 3600 replacement can handle a lot more.
