They have that auto-find-oc for a while, and it didn't work properly. Clocks were well below what i could get..

Indeed, this is my experience with the XOC as well. I've used it several times on an EVGA SC 980Ti and my current EVGA 1080Ti FTW3, and every time I've used it my computer has ended with a hard lock requiring me to reboot. It also starts WAY too high with clocks (~2100MHz core) and instantly fails, while over the next 5 minutes it slowly works itself down to under 1900MHz, which is a good bit under what the card boosts to out of box.

I'm curious how good that auto OC finding will work... might just run it for laughs

Some more development news. MSI Afterburner 4.6.0 beta (currently beta 7, may change on release) with basic RTX 20x0 series support is around the corner with the following changes: Version 4.6.0 ยท Added NVIDIA Turing GPU architecture support: ..... Public beta is hopefully expected in the end of this week. That's everything related to new generation of GPUs, which I can squeeze from RTX 20x0 cards with remote debugging and without having it installed here. I expect my card to arrive in the beginning of September, then probably we'll add some more RTX 20x0 related features to AB. NVIDIA introduced new overclocking scanner API for these cards to allow vendors to provide automated overclocking, it sounds rather promising but I'll need to play with it a bit myself to decide if it is reliable and worth being supported in MSI AB. Stay tuned!

EVGA is second only to Apple (See Itunes) in developing software that is not only non-functional, but basically crippling to your computer. The last release of Precision XOC caused Windows 10 machines to bugcheck crash and lock up randomly even on clean 1803 installs. EVGA's response to it's users that have purchased their high end gpus was zilch, zip , and nada. If you want to see for yourself just go look at the forum threads about Precision X. I am currently forced to use a piece of Asus software to control my fans reliably on my 1080ti. Now, I am hopeful and I will try the new version of Precision, but I'll be honest the devs at EVGA aren't gonna win any awards anytime soon. My suspicion is they will cut and paste a lot of bug-ridden code into the new version.

@eGGroLLiO Why aren't u using AB? Works fine with every card, even had cards accepting 0 rpm (at low temps) even that stock profile was "fixed" to 25%.

Because Afterburner will not control my second fan. It's an EVGA icx card.

Yeah, forgot about that

Never had any issues, besides the keyboard input being super slow at launch of Windows when running Precision XOC.
I just used XOC long enough to change the RGB lighting, uninstalled it and the settings stick until either my house or computer loses power. Same with the software for my keyboard/mouse.
