It'll take several years for GPU prices to return to their pre-pandemic and pre-crapcoin pricing, but it'll happen eventually. Their reserves and shareholder goodwill will only last for so long before they have to drastically lower prices to stimulate demand. We've already seen these cycles before. This isn't the first, and it's definitely not the last.

from france, looking at online store here, a lot of AIB cards for the 40 serie are at the exact MSRP, I suppose they can't sell lower and also from a logic point of view competing with the FE with extra cost of development seem like an awful business perspective, Nvidia is killing their partners with this serie

where do people Get these prices ? the cheapest i can find Anywhere in europe is about 1470 euro , which is WAY above the price mentioned above ... it almost differs 200 euro , so no ... these prices are not even close to what the Real World reports , aka tweakers.net , in any line of product ... the cheapest is ventus oc , like always , and probably the best and fastest ; like always , for that 1470 euro , all the other cards are even More expensive and not even Close to being in the 1300 price range , not even Close !!

X Box hw price is probably subsidized by the ecosystem revenue. Im agreeing with your overall point 100% tho, if youre buying a GPU just to game, buy a console and be much happier.

This is the same for anything in life that cost more than somebody earns. Owning expensive computer hardware is not a human right. Buy a car you can afford or save up for a more expensive one, go on a holiday you can afford or save up for a more expensive one.

I bought a PS5 for FIFA and GT7 , the other genres I like I play on PC. As for money, I had my first mortgage at 18, by 21 two children and at 40 I was mortgage free after moving house three times. After over 20 years in the Army and another 13 working for the Government I'm comfortable enough to buy a £2000 GPU for shits and giggles. I made smart life choices, good investments, risk where it was calculared and didn't waste my hard earned cash. There are many reason why people have wealth and others don't, but being bitter about it doesn't help you. And makes you look a bit of a dick.

I turned in my application for the army but I never got a reply. I applied for a government job (more than once) but did not get the job (even if I did, it would pay way less than what I'd need to be able to afford a thousand € GPU). You can spend thousands on an overpriced piece of tech just for shits and giggles? Good on you mate. I can but that doesnt mean i do, Also im grateful for every day im here as many of my former friends and colleagues arnt. I criticised those who keep bitching about prices and bitching about people spending their money how they want. Dont bitch about the cost of PC hardware if you are happy to waste money elseware. On a final note, you wouldnt believe what i do and have done in the past for those less fortunate than myself, and thats people who are actually desperate, not crying because a PC graphics cards costs more than they have.
