This is truly Epyc.

You know AMD is doing well when you see it show up in supercomputers. I really doubt the competition can offer the same amount of compute at the same value, or energy efficiency, or density.

Well... won't be EU based in two weeks from now. But yeah... bring it on AMD!

748,544 cores? 😱

AMD can't compete in volume.

The intel guys on some of these thread, between here and the general riff-raff that is wccftech (who's comments are a veritable cess-pit!), would often say "AMD folks be like 'MOAR' cores!" ... No, AMD folks like me have stock and see the MOAR cores in the news headlines like this and be like "MOAR cores = more stock gains" 🙂 I'd still like to see how it runs Crysis... *gets evil eyes from everyone else in the forum* C'mon guys, I had to I had to, No NOT THE THINKER NOT THE THINKER! NO-NONONO!

And people still wonder why 3900X is so hard to find and 3950X is delayed... 🙄

1497088 Threads in the Task-Manager.

People can't source a single 3900X 12 core CPU for home use while at same time AMD supplies 11,696 64 core CPUs here... I wonder how much money AMD got out of that deal. I'm surprised the fabrication could even produce so many of them actually.

Yes but with a 1080p screen, What about gaming??? :D

Don't beat yourself up. If you hadn't asked, "Yeah, but will it play Crysis", I was going to.

Like I said before sell that INTEL stock! ;-)

Eh, I guess that's a lot of cores. I'm not that impressed. /s

Well on 1080p most likely it can run crisis on 1000 fps+++++ on software renderer assuming someone can get it to scale perfectly! Is about 0.75 threads per pixel! :P

The task manager won't show all of those because they aren't really "one machine." If it did you would have to scroll for days. Imagine saying, "I want to see what core 48382 is doing..." We had a machine here for a while with two chips, twenty cores each, and hyperthreading. That meant up to eighty threads. Here's what the task manager of W7 looked like with it at idle. My program ran very fast on it but not fast enough. https://i.servimg.com/u/f35/17/98/38/10/taskma10.png

Love it!

"Can you hear me now?" Archer approved, well he would if he know what any of this was. to be the Monitor needed to see all the cores in task manager

Now imagine if every one of those cpus had a igpu and they could get that working too lol.

It's 8+1 chiplet EPYCs... there's no space left at all on that substrate, and the I/O die is used in full. But with 128 PCI-e 4.0 lanes per CPU, why would you care about iGPU? The board can have 8 !!! full bandwidth high-performance GPUs, if needed.
