What is required to enable 2fa on Epic game store and can I do so using only my Samsung Tab A tablet? I don't own or use phones much, my tablet and internet are my primary form of communication? Lost all my computers when I moved back to Ontario, Canada and have not been able to replace them so rely solely on my tablet for communication right now.

Via the online Epic account settings you can just choose email verification as a 3rd option to receive 6 digit codes via regular email without being stuck to some device. The EGS client actually opens up a web browser once you click the link in the message there.

Seems like a good call to me, especially considering how often accounts were [attempted to be] hacked. This is a good way to enforce people to take security more seriously.

Thanks for all the feedback, I chose email. After reading all the problems people were having with Google Authenticator I felt this app would be a bad idea to use.

I already have to use 2fa just to login so, work fine threw email some times it can be very slow send the email with pin though

That is why you go with the Microsoft Authenticator.

I had my account hacked earlier this month, but I managed to change my password. I don't want it to happen again and since it's possible to use email, I don't see any problem.

I'm using Aegis on my phone https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.beemdevelopment.aegis&hl=nl This supports most, but Twitch still depends on authy , and blizzard and steam are also easier with their own app. still it is a great tool, has a backup feature as well.

the only point of 2 factor is to get your phone number etc...security is just an excuse because they don't care as much on their side of the server
