Looks like TressFX 2.0 with better AA.

Looking at the second video, they might finally be able to make a new game based on the original Terminator. That 80's hair...

I remember TressFX eating all the performance back in 2012's Tomb Raider reboot. Not sure if it's worth it.

First video looks pretty realistic in terms of weight and movement.

Well... perf hit is probably rather big. Imagine this combined with ray tracing to finally turn things into slideshows even on higher tier RTX cards 😀
Backstabak
I'd rather not buy a second GPU just to make hairs move more realistically. Even though it looks nice.

EA. Just a bunch of faceless dummies.
Stairmand
I remember using TressFX in Tomb Raider on a FuryX (I think it was) really is a great technology. Improves character models significantly, i'd definitely put up with a FPS hit to have an improved version.

I defiantly prefer Lara's hair.
Her body hair rocks. Boys.

then at least you can use face works so the hair can see where its going.
the hair detail is pretty cool but you really need the whole head or its not worth it

Isnt Frostbite notorious for being an awful engine for developers to work on? As cool as this looks... what kind of performance cost will it take to make this happen? Im glad people are implementing this sort of thing but honestly 1 game will probably use this tech on this engine.
