Yeah, I love track balls too, I recently broke out an old Logitech Trackman Marble (wired version) which I find great to use for my home cinema setup on the sofa 🙂 Sadly its actual tracking ability is pretty slow, any remotely fast movements and the cursor goes loopy lol May well look this one up once it becomes available 🙂 EDIT: oops, mine was wireless after all, been away from home too long lol

I have one of those as well, although I use it pretty rarely. Its specs certainly look lower than this Obama's, but on the other hand, I wouldn't use it for anything serious, only regular desktop work, so it's not really an issue.

Oh my Logitech Trackball just die like a year ago, i still miss it. Coming back to a normal mouse was very disappointing T_T

I have two Sanwa MA-TB39 trackballs on my desk. I went with Sanwa after my last old Logitech PS/2 trackball went south. (I first tried a Logitech M570 wireless but it was useless for playing games.) I recommend Sanwa but it would be interesting to compare with the new Elecom, though to my taste the Elecom design seems a little over complicated. Wonder if this means some of the old Logitech trackball patents are expiring? One Logitech patent I looked up expires somewhere around 2020.

I am a trackball mouse man too. For quite a number of years now, I have been using Kensington Expert mouse - excellent mouse for gaming! With that said, I am always on the look-out for a newer trackball mouse design; thank you Hilbert for posting this article.
