Great review, thank you Hilbert, as comprehensive and interestingly written as always. I use a Corsair H110 in my Scan gaming computer (Noctua fans replaced the then noisier Corsair fans) but this EK-MLC Phoenix 360 with its capability to also cool the graphics card is a halfway house between a basic AIO and a full blown water-cooled system. I like that, a defo possibility for a new system in due course.

Great review! I have the old AIO Predator version from EK with the 280 rad. This setup is cooling my Ryzen 1600@3.850mhz and my Gainward G1 gtx980TI card if i keep the rpm of the fans locked at 40% when i game hard the max temps i reach is around 55 degrees celcius on both cpu+gpu wich i think is a sweet thing. These AIO from EK are super easy to connect and mount. I am a noob when it comes to watercooling wich is why i got the set but it took me only about 30 minutes to get it all setup and running. Been going 24/7 for over a year now (first on a i5 3470K) and its still working flawlessly. P.S my complete kit for cpu+gpu+280rad set me back 365 Euros back then wich i think is a very fair price for the whole setup.

As always, nice and thorough product review. Only one thing I react to, and that is the built in fan connectors which unfortunately is only for three fans, and not six (Push & Pull configuration) that would have been desirable. Even Though I like the EK-MLC Phoenix 360 AIO CPU & GPU Liquid Cooling, I will wait for the upcoming Enermax Liqtech II 360 AIO CPU Liquid Cooler with Dual Pumps to see the review on that as well. Wait so with the GPU installed the overclocked stressed CPU @4,6 GHz 1,3V got 61 degrees, while without the GPU it got 67 degrees ? Is that correct ? Also the paragraph at page 8 justifying the use of a 4790K feels a bit outdated.

Good observation, it was not written down correctly in that particular line. It's 70c as listed in the temperature plot. Corrected, thanks.

Great review as usual Hilbert, personally i'd wait until they're out in the wild with some longer term usage, the previous EK Predator AIO coolers weren't exactly known for there reliability, hopefully they've righted a few wrongs in that regard with this new product.

They say that you can run it hands off for at least 2 years. That's coincidentally when the warranty ends (2 years) That may seem like a decent amount of time, but so that you all are aware, I pre-ordered the original predator 360 and had it in my system since its release. Although it does a respectable job, they did issue a recall on the v1 Predator 240 and 360 months after I had purchased it. Went through the hassle of obtaining a "working" unit which I'd used since then.. until 3 weeks ago when one of the fittings sprung a leak. Fortunately none of my hardware perished, but still. The original recall stated that it was due to a faulty o-ring in the Supremacy CPU block, which the swap during recall should have addressed.. however my leak occurred with the fitting attached to the reservoir. As I'm out of warranty now, this cooler is essentially a write off. I'm going to re-use the CPU and GPU Blocks though and just go custom cooling in the next month or so. I wouldn't say I was disappointed in EK as I do believe they make great products.. the Predator line however, left a pretty bad taste in my mouth. If it took out any of my hardware, I'm sure I would have a whole lot more to say about it 🙂 Just keep this in mind guys! For all we know this new lineup is improved and may be more robust in its operation and quality control. Lets hope that is the case!

And lots more ppl out there with dead hardware cause of failing pumps or broken plexi/plastic tubing (asetek design). 😉 So far i couldnt find one brand with AIO, were all worked flawlessly. Im only using a corsair hydro right now as it was cheap (new gpu as well) and has a 5y coverage for all parts that get damaged in case of failure, but as soon as i can sell the existing case (and cooler), im switching. Yes, the custom loops i had were fun to build and use, but the days when i needed the rad/fans 10ft away cause of noise are over, and an aio also makes it a little easier to transport the rig..
