In a report published by Jon Peddie Research overall GPU shipments in the fourth quarter of 2017 decreased -1.5% from last quarter, however, the reports denotes that more than three million video cards have been sold to crypto miners in 2017, making AMD and Nvidia about $776 million.

The SM689 supports PCIe Gen 3x4 interface while SM681 supports PCI Gen 3x2 interface with sequential read speed of up to 1.45 GB/s and sequential write speed of up to 650MB/s.

In April AMD is going to release the Ryzen refresh processor. It is expected that for example the Ryzen 7 1800X will be replaced with a model like 2800X. The newer models are slightly optimized and likely clocked a bit higher. However often before a new refresh generation kicks in, prices often drop. I did some rounds and yeah check it out.
