Battlefield 5 will remain the Battlefield game that had the poorest support over time of the entire franchise. I noticed this trend of EA/DICE since the modern Battlefront 1 game, they dropped the ball within 6 months to focus on the sequel and i still haven't digested the premium pack i picked for this soon to be dead game back then.
Hopefully Battlefront 2 had the quality support it deserved, but it won't erase the trust issue i have with EA/DICE since Battlefront 2015.
BF5 had some good ideas from 3D spotting removal, cleaner weapon feedback with less randomization in recoil animation and bullet spread, but going WWII just after WWI was a boring safe choice for everyone.
The Pacific front update will remain the highlight of BF5 support over time, and a glimpse into an alternate and more satisfying handling of the franchise, at a quality we expect from AAA studios.
buhehe
BF5 was a sham. No naval combat, no soviet front - you know, where the majority of action took place, forceful inclusion of female characters to make SJWs happy, and the list goes on...

I invite everyone to check World War 3 instead.

Somehow they managed to be at the point that even Dice fans will not be getting the game. Good job!

I honestly believe the next Battlefield game will not be Battlefield 6.

The next battlefield game will be free to play.

WOW EA please stop publishing games so fast! I haven't even tried the BF 5 yet and now I won't buy it when I know a new one is coming...
Corrupt^
Better be a modern shooter, closer to the experience of BF3/BC2 tbh.

The only reason for me to jump on the BF-bandwagon again, would be if EA DICE made another game with full mod support.

A good setting would be the 100 years war. They would have a lot of material with that one.
I think the War of 1812 would be cool, though I do not play these games.

If they build in heavy security like encrypted packets etc I may think about it. The hacking in BF5 was annoying. I suspect casuals didnt notice but those of us who were pretty good it was frustrating. Way to many people running ESP type hacks. ESP makes it where you see every enemy even behind cover with boxes highlinghtin locatinos. With how cover worked so well in BF5 this made you pretty unstoppable. That and the guys running intelligent auto aim where every 3rd or 4th bullet hits.

These games are just getting tired for me. I usually buy them when discounted, play for a few days, and then drop them because I'm bored with it. Not really sure what they can do that they haven't already done, but they used to be a must buy for myself and friends. No one I game with plays them anymore. Maybe I'm just losing interest in the FPS genre. Been there done that is my feeling and I think others are experiencing the same.
