Correct me if I am wrong but... isnt the 3600 FASTER than the 2700X?
Ive never been a battlefield / cod player but I find it concerning that the recommended CPU is slower than the minimum CPU

Considering that all the trailers/leaked alpha footage seemed to run at extremely low FPS I'm very cautious about performance expectations with this one.

As Bulletproof said i also believe it's because you will need as much parallel processing as possible. Especially considering the crapload of simultaneous players on one server/map which is 128!

It's a good thing that we can just not buy a game untill it's out and in a stable state. Prebuying to get early access to a beta test or early access to launch, in a franchise that has a history of being almost unplayable at launch in the past 10 years is ... well, let's not say anything if we have nothing nice to say.
I am personally looking forward to the game, even the worst of BF has had good fun, but I will not be prebuying.

2700x is faster due to enough ipc, clocks and threads. 5600x is faster though, by a lot.
I went from a 2700x@4.2 to a 5600x @ 4.7 and its big difference.
Im actually surprised at CPU requirements. They are retarded.

Yeah for 5600x but 3600x isnt that much faster than 2700X especially in such a core heavy games like battlefield.

Oh i know. I was giving him the compartivie that you need a 5600x for a 6 core ryzen to be faster then the 2700x in BF games.

I want to be excited because I love Battlefield, but I know I am going to be disappointed.
128 players sounds amazing, then I read that it's restricted to certain game modes.
Servers that I am certain will be virtually impossible to customise because most of the variables will be locked, or even admin properly because again the commands will be locked.
Bots that it sounds like you cannot disable, levelling up against bots is a big change in the franchise.
And that's just for starters. I hope I am wrong about the above.

What utter garbage, makes no sense. Take a look at minimum and recommended requirements for CPU. Minimum- Ryzen 3600 or i5 6600K. So they think that if it will run on a Ryzen 3600 with 6core and 12 threads it will run as well on Intel 4 core 4 thread cpu? And then for recommended CPU they want to go with a 2700K? While it may have more cores than the 3600, the 3600 is clearly the more modern, more efficient cpu......

Why are people so hooked up on a 3600 and 2700X being recommended when they recommend a 6600K for min but then recommend a 4790 for the high spec!???? Thats a CPU from 2014 with only 4 cores and 8 threads yet somehow its being recommended along side a 2700X which has double the cores and threads and is much newer with faster IPC, way more cache, and more modern CPU features....
These specs are a joke, and no one should take them seriously.
The 6600K was also recommended for BFV if I remember correctly but you didn't NEED one.

Debate is on the cpu side of things. With a 128 players now will the 8cores outperform 6cores on such a large scale maps.

I think they forget to tell the guy who posted the PC specs that the game is also running on the ancient hardware that is the Ps4 and Xbox one. lol
