I bought a 32GB DDR4 3000mhz Kingston HyperX Savage RAM kit about a year and a half ago for £179.99.
Here is the same RAM kit now and its current price: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/kingston-savage-black-32gb-4x8gb-ddr4-pc4-24000c15-3000mhz-quad-channel-kit-hx430c15sb2k4-32-my-247-ks.html

I spent £285 on 4133mhz TridentZ because you don't scrimp and save on the motherboard or ram in any case.

At this point both AMD and Intel should step in. This is going to hurt both of them. Honestly current DDR$ prices are keeping me from jumping to a new system. If the prices go up more I know I will be putting off core upgrade for possibly another year.
