I dont know if something is up here with this. If i use the bench cpu on this it says 1.172v for my i9 10900k but in Icue it says VCPU 1.31v. so I guess one is wrong. Oh, running on Asus Maximus XIII Hero.

I don't entirely understand why these programs update so often just to include more processors. Wouldn't it make more sense to just have a base program that automatically downloads a database of processor info? Seems like less of a hassle.

Why would it? Wouldn't have to be ran as a Daemon, merely an on load up check.

Alder Lake has new core type. Would a simple config file have that info if the program was designed years ago without the concept in mind?

Y'know this post is a year old, right? Back then, AL's core config wasn't known, only speculated. Regardless, besides significant changes like that, my point still stands: you don't need a new version of the program every time a new CPU generation is released. It makes sense to release a new version whenever there is a drastic change, such as P and E cores, but such changes only happen maybe once in every 5 years. Having the tool download a database is a lot less of a hassle to the user.

There is no 2.03.1 to be downloaded, just the 2.03.0, not even on cpuid site...

The version on the webside is 2.03.1; you see it when you install it

Wasn't at time of writing...

It was not; it was rather a mistake of CPU Z itself. I only saw it myself when I downloaded the file from the CPU Z website and installed it.

I use the portable only, so it was... 😉

The CPU-Z website only has v2.03.01 at the time of me writing this so is v2.04 legit? If I see a new download mentioned on here that I am interested in then I typically download it from there rather than here so I have the full installer rather than a zipped archive.
