Yeah, my bad, just saw it was about applications, and not even about the gaming driver.
Got an infected tooth and guess i wasnt paying attention because of the pain..

2. Replace the file nv_dispsi.inf into the Display.driver folder with the modded one (link below).

Let me know 🙂
Yes, I modded the .INF file for you, the studio driver (431.70) should work with GTX 980 and your GTX 970 now!
How to:
1. First, Disable Driver Signature enforcement on Windows10:

Hey Powerdams,
that´s great! Thanks a lot! I´ll probably test it tomorrow and will let you know! As I work a lot with Photoshop, 10bit/channel display output could be very helpul in some cases.
I would like to disable the driver signature enforcement by using group policies:
https://windowsreport.com/driver-signature-enforcement-windows-10/#1 (solution 2). Would that be okay for this case?
Btw., I will use a german driver (431.70) (type: standard / Geforce 10 series / Win10 64bit / studio). Is that the correct one?

You're very welcome.
If you have have a 10bit monitor (via display port only) and Photoshop in 30bit mode (in Advanced Graphics Processor Settings, enable 30 bit display), you will probably enjoy nice gradients!
"I would like to disable the driver signature enforcement by using group policies:

"Btw., I will use a german driver (431.70) (type: standard / Geforce 10 series / Win10 64bit / studio). Is that the correct one?" Just in case, use this official link for the international version https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverResults.aspx/149125/en-us

Thanks, Powerdams!
I´ll report back!
Yesterday I had already tried the 10bit output on a friend´s PC with a RTX 2060 and Photoshop with a testfile:
https://imagescience.com.au/knowledge/10-bit-output-support
Banding with 8bit, but no banding anmore with 10 bit output. Worked great!

Powerdams,
I tried to install the international version, the installation did start (hooray), but then during installation I got an error message. "the nvidia installation program failed" or something like this (I have a german version, so I don´t know the exact words in english). The failure was in the installation of the actual graphics driver, not Physix, audio or Geforce experience etc.
Do you have any ideas, what could be the problem?
Thanks for your help.

1. Download it and follow these steps: [youtube=WByVwXLiGKc]
2. After that you can disable the driver signature enforcement with the solution 1 (It will be auto enable again after another restart).
3. Reinstall the modded driver.
Let me know.
Maybe try to use the Display Driver Uninstaller program from here: stevenskl
Powerdams,
I´m not sure, wether I want to do all the stuff shown in the video......., because I need that PC for my work....
At the moment, I´m running the latest Game ready driver.
What I did not do is checking the "clean install" checkbox during driver installation, when I tried to install the studio driver.
Do you think, that could have been the problem? So maybe it wouldn´t be neccessary to use the display driver uninstaller, but just try to install the studio driver (with your modded file) with a "clean install" option being checked?
Do you actually have a 900 series card and does the studio driver run on your system?

I understand, I use my laptop to work as well (adobe creative suite mostly), you can still reinstall the Game ready driver if needed, your choice my friend : )

Yes since few days already, with the notebook version of the driver and a GTX 980m, proof:

Thank you so much, Powerdams!
I´ll give the "clean install" a try tomorrow.

Powerdams,
meanwhile the gaming driver also has 10bit support and it works very well in Photoshop with my GTX 970. Again, thanks for helping!
