Skippable driver, since none of the fixed bugs apply to me.

Wtf with this fixed issues? Nvidia going to dump a driver every single fix?
data/avatar/default/avatar14.webp
So many open issues.. Nvidia fell from grace...

People should make a separate DPC thread. Screaming at the wall in a Double Padded Chat room. Please do, seriously 😉

That's a good thing. Maybe if you're not having issues or don't need the profiles for new games, don't update then. One of the issues resolved literally affects many 3000 series owners who play those listed games.

Transparency is good and should be ENCOURAGED in the tech space. It is better companies acknowledge and list open issues that they are working towards fixing in the future.

Meanwhile AMD have been mopping up their drivers in recent months. My friend upgraded from a 1070Ti to a 7900XT (got it for £650 brand new!!!) and hes shocked at how good the driver package is as a whole and what he can do from a single piece of software. I do have a feeling that Nvidia will soon abandon the control panel and move it over into the experience app.

Yes, I agree. This is better than them hiding these issues. However, many of those open issues have been there for months. They either lack talent to fix them or are lazy about fixing them, neither is acceptable for a company like nivida. Even more so when they charge +1000€ for gpus now. At least develvop good drivers for your expensive hardware. The argument that nvidia drivers are better than AMD drivers is dead now, that much is true at least. I'd even argue that nvidia drivers are worse now.

There's also likely to be tons of things fixed or open not even on that list, but I am only speculating out of my butt cheeks.

Yes, this is a separate argument that I agree with completely. They need to do better, and this is on many fronts, pricing is ridiculous, and driver improvements and fixes should be more frequent and delivered faster for a company their size. But criticising transparency with regards to open issues is ridiculous.

I'm not really criticizing the transparency. I'm only criticizing their ability (or lack of iit) to fix them. - Monitor may briefly flicker on waking from display sleep if DSR/DLDSR is enabled. . This is a good example, it's been there forever (1 year), it affects 99% of people but they can't seem to fix it. The DPC issue will be the same I bet. People start to lose confidence on them, it's only natural.

Most people don't even read the open issues neither update when a new driver is released, tons of people are with old drivers and when they do they don't even bother, if everything seems to be working its cool. Although I do believe its laziness or complexity of the code to fix said issues, people also do complain when a new game releases and nvidia doesn't send out a driver for it, so... people complain.
data/avatar/default/avatar31.webp
Yes, most people don't even bother updating, even more so when geforce experience tends to cause problems. Past drivers are usually better, especially 517.48 and previous for me (but Ik im not alone). No DPC issues, works just fine with all new games, no problems whateover.
