So many open issues, damn!

CPC_RedDawn:

Meanwhile AMD have been mopping up their drivers in recent months. My friend upgraded from a 1070Ti to a 7900XT (got it for £650 brand new!!!) and hes shocked at how good the driver package is as a whole and what he can do from a single piece of software. I do have a feeling that Nvidia will soon abandon the control panel and move it over into the experience app.
Agreed, the whole interface with the AMD drivers is way better where as the NVCP hasnt changed for donkeys years. Having said that recording in game footage with AMD gave me many many issues where as GFE is super smooth.

- Some monitors may display random black screen flicker when in Display Stream Compression mode when using R530 drivers [4034096]
Awesome, I just got a new monitor that requires DSC too. This open issues list just keeps growing and growing. Is Nvidia ever going to start fixing these things?

How long is it going to take to fix the filter bug? Come on man..
I haven’t updated in months because of this. Meanwhile new games keep coming out that aren’t supported by filters because I haven’t been able to update! It’s getting old. This is unacceptable when you drop a grand on a video card.

Yea it was hit or miss on AMD recording a video but its got much better and they have way more options than GFE. Nvidia had a much better H.264 encoder but thing shifted and AMD implemented H.265/HEVC which is the better option but streaming was stuck on .264 where Nvidia is king. Now with AV1 things will change even more, youtube just enabled AV1 streaming and the latest beta of OBS enabled it too. The results are crazy good.

It’s been worse the last year or so. Anyways whether it’s stable for you or not depends on whether or not you’re affected by any of the open issues.

Jesus.. How many times do i have to update drivers? I update drivers then i have to rebuild shader cache. Which means everything stutters.

- Increase in DPC latency observed in Latencymon [3952556] - sometimes causes audio issues with my AV receiver (Denon X2700H) - Event Viewer logs nvlddmkm error at the end of the OCCT video ram test when memory is full [4049182] - Happens in some apps and games too if they have very high VRAM usage - After updating to R530 drivers, certain GeForce RTX 40 series notebook models may randomly experience a TDR/black screen [4024853] - not only problem with notebook as I have the same issue with my desktop 4090 - Some monitors may display random black screen flicker when in Display Stream Compression mode when using R530 drivers [4034096] - happens sometimes with my Samsung Neo G7 I was excited to see those issues fixed (especially last 3) as I sometimes experience them with my 4090.. 🙁

They were not fixed, they are still listed under open issues

Great drivers, no complaints as usual! 🙂

Are nvidia ever going to tackle that ever growing list of issues or just add more issues to that list and add something totally redundant why cant they just fix all the current issues before releasing a new driver then everyone will be happy LOL even if it takes 1 month to do it and only release fast beta`s for game support....

why do some people react as if you are forced to install every driver ?
data/avatar/default/avatar15.webp
Any word on if these drivers help any with the new Jedi Survivor? Anyone tested that yet?

Colocopia:

Although I do believe its laziness or complexity of the code to fix said issues, people also do complain when a new game releases and nvidia doesn't send out a driver for it, so... people complain.
Do not forget the amount of combinations of Hardware, Firmware and Software in hands of users comparing to park of rigs in hands of developers and testers - they can`t replicate each problematic combination.

If you want to apply freestyle filters to new games you do…
