is your profiles 1080 still current?
if so, MPO's can be ruled out (no pascal support afaik)
That leaves issues specific to certain displays (LG's?) or Gsync Compatible displayport displays,
windows versions? (one of you specifies 2004),
the latest preview cumulative fixed issues where Windows would reportedly chug (maybe why i don't see it the spamming?).
is this corresponding to Event Viewer logging
A caller specified the SDC_FORCE_MODE_ENUMERATION flag in a call to the SetDisplayConfig() API
Under Display source repeatedly?, I resolved this on a previous driver by logging off the windows account and back on.
Also got non-stop dwm.exe spamming, both on 511.65 and after did clean install 511.72.
MSI RTX 2070, Win 10 21H2 19044.1503, ASUS VG259QM (G-Sync ON), native 1080p res.
Edit: Turned G-Sync OFF and no spam. Back it ON and dwm.exe spam is back. WTF?

Ohmer:
Like all the 5xx drivers I've tested, dwm.exe is spamming NV service REG queries ~1000 times a second with these installed. Seems to be just repeating the same pattern for no obvious reason. I don't see any benefit from this branch, so back to 472.47 STUDIO (behaviour is completely absent).
Neil79:
It's also spamming for me G-SYNC ON DWM.EXE!
For what it's worth, just tested 511.23, 511.65, 511.72 with 1060 6 GB, LG-24GN600 Monitor (G-SYNC Compatible, Freesync Premium ), 10 bit, Displayport 1.4, Windows 19044.1466 and the filter described:
No issues with excessive polling on either a NVCleanstall package or a standard install without GFE.
Would be interested to know what causes the polling.

Thanks for confirming, Manuel G has been pinged.

Looks like its specific to HDR + Gsync displays. Displayport 1.2 Gsync.
Running 19044.1503 with Native G-Sync LG 32GK850-G 1440p Monitor. VRR is enabled.
G-Sync disable changes nothing here.
- Issue present in my setup -
- Samsung G7 (2020), Gsync and HDR active. Displayport 1.4 -
Sorry, i made a mistake. After I revise the filters, none problem.
What's the filter to use? I set a filter only for dwm.exe, and my spam looks different (ColorPrevalence).
I use an Acer S271HL monitor (no VRR or Gsync, 1080p@60Hz) and have it connected through a HDMI-to-DP adapter to the 3060.
