Hard to say, my 1080ti never goes above 42c when fully stressed out. Its watercooled currently. Normally hangs around 35-38c when gaming.

See no difference than past couple drivers ... OC Gaming brings about 68 deg under stress.

Gpu OC hasn't been affected (2126 core / 4552 mem), 30 C idle, 50 C max under stress. Normal operations here.

Thanks for your measuring, guys! So, can we conclude, that 4xx has higher temps and it's good for desktop PCs and 399.24 is more preferable for notes? Do you suggest to update drivers for Nvidia notebooks with the latest one's?(4xx.xx series)

Notebooks use different packages, have different performance and temp tables, different TDP, and notebook cooling solutions, and whether the fans are being fed enough air. I wouldn't look to a driver to address any temp issues you may have.

I do not recommend this driver as Battlefield 5 started crashing to desktop after installing it, and it didn't happen, not even once prior to this..!!!

they're bad for Quake champions too, even without forced DSR I keep getting constant 1match crashes.. 417.35 was somewhat ok, I will try developer vulkan 417.42 now. EDIT: no 417.42 is just as bad, returned to 417.35.

Is there an easy/fast way to export Program specific 3D settings from Nvidia Control Panel? It's kinda tiresome to reconfigure my 3D settings for certain games after every driver clean install.
Nvidia Profile inspector > export custom settings button.

Check your CPU/RAM OC stability. CTDs are caused by unstable OC.

Didn't test any other drivers but Rise of the Tomb Raider runs like ass on DX12 with these drivers. In-engine cutscenes have random freezes/stutter, alt-tab (not exclusive fs) is laggy and I got a KERNEL_MODE_HEAP_CORRUPTION bsod a minute after I closed the game. DX11 seems to run fine.

Are you running GF Experience, turn off overlay, see if it helps.

No issues here with BFV.

Same here seems ok in BFv, temps are the same.

I bought a EVGA 2080 yesterday and after installing this driver both my monitors turned off and would not come back up again. Had to revert to 416.34 to get them to work. The monitors worked briefly with 417.35 before my ASUS VG248QE stopped working, but my second monitor (Dell U2414H) was working fine... Both display port cables have been tested on both monitors in all the ports so i can say that this is a driver issue... Now i am afraid of trying to install this driver again to see if i can get it to work...

Any info about the next official release driver?
