Why is there only DirectX 11.2 and WDDM 1.3 capability on Fermi-architecture?

Simply because Nvidia didn't gave us DX12/WDDM 2.0 support yet (which they promised for Windows 10 release)

To me it just smells being very lazy and playing on time only, untill that time i guess everyone will replace their Fermi GPU and just upgrade to new architectures :P
yes because programming video card drivers are easy... The Nvidia drivers have more lines of code than the entire Windows OS. At least they have a driver out for release. My sound card on the other hand Creative hasn't released a single Windows 10 driver yet... :\ I hope this driver runs well for the GTX980Ti so far haven't been too impressed with this card. I think fixes for this card kinda got put on the back burner with it being released soo close to the Win 10 release.

In this situation you wrong, nvidia has promised to have DX 12 driver for Fermi for the beginning of win 10. Even ManuelG did that as well. Not once but several times. Also asked him about any alpha or beta stage of the driver but no reply apart from : nvidia will release once the win 10 RTM is available . Pls correct me if i am wrong but win 10 has been released already at least to my best knowledge. Also ManuelG has disappeared in the shadows from Guru3D.

Not saying you are wrong, ofc coding GPU for entire new system isn't something easy, but they made some promises, and now they changed it suddenly.

Yah I remember they said it would be available.. but stuff happens and it got delayed. I think the TDR problem delayed things quite a bit as I'm sure a lot of people were put on that task to fix it. Anyway it doesn't really matter at this point... there is no native DX12 games yet.

The fair thing is , share some info and don't ignore those msg-s from Fermi owners. Be informative. Also lot of people got system with Titan(or 6xx etc..) with 5xx. They need proper drivers, otherwise can't use the card. http://postimg.org/image/ra1fhhk6x/

I'm glad Nvidia haven't forgotten about their Fermi-architecture completely, but it wouldn't hurt to have some way of trying out those new DX12 features and running a few benchmarks.
According to current "communique" of nvidia , it won't happen.

I can wait another few months (when the first DX12-titles drops) there's no imminent rush, but it would have been sweet.

No matter what I do my display is being detected as native 1080i and custom resolutons will display for a sec but will not stick. I rely on custom resolutions to force a 21:9 aspect ratio on my 55 inch monitor for racing. Glad I made an image of my SSD before hand. Already back on Windows 8.1 due to that and weird blurry scaling with some apps. So glad for disk imaging tools and SSD tech ! I was back to 8.1 in 30 minutes or so.

Well raw DX11 api is worse then windows 8.1 and 353.49 driver, kind of like R340 branch.. Although Dx12 looks nice 😀 353.62 http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/7952825? True, nvidia should release kinda beta DX 12 driver to users. Specially after this kind of "manner".

L4D2 runs in slow motion. It could be a issue with background video, I already saw this once by early win8 version, if I remember correctly it was a driver issue.. Its 4-5fps in main ingame menu, gpu is in full 3d mode though. EDIT: ok running it in Windows8 compatibility mode fixes it. But the scenes when you get pinned down to the ground has some minor fps drops, win8.1 didnt have that.
