I installed this version now I have a problem when I run a game (I use OSD), there is a left side stripe that range in colors across the length of the screen, Closing MSI AB and RTSS then the ribbon disappears.

That's not a problem of "installing this version" at all, that's a problem of blindly enabling the options in RTSS without reading the context help. You've enabled FCAT overlay, it is intended to behave exactly like that.

I was just asking for help man, relax and chill. Thanks for your work and help

And I just explained that it has zero relation to changes implemented in this version and pointed what exactly was misconfigured. 😉

Works great, thanks!

Thanks so much for the new version. Been using this site's reviews, guidance and products for years(!), and now that I have my newish GPU, am looking forward to diving in and getting the most out of it. Cheers! - E

Position of right aligned OSD depends on 3D application's 3D viewport dimensions. If it if redefined/resized by application, OSD will move.
Can you add a hotkey feature where it moves the OSD instantly to preset locations (corners, mids) or goes around the perimeter? That'd be more convenient than pausing the game to configure it or having to add a new profile for each game.
data/avatar/default/avatar11.webp
With such approach you’ll need to do it each time you run such game... Don’t find more convenient than per-application profiles, you need to setup them just once.
data/avatar/default/avatar25.webp
I think it would far more convenient to instantly move the OSD instead of making a profile for it. Similar to how you can instantly change your mouse's DPI setting on your mouse rather than having to make a mouse profile for each game.

Hey it is just me this happening to? When using TSSAA rivaturner overlay not working in wolfenstein Youngblood and wolfenstein 2 the new colossus
https://forums.guru3d.com/data/avatars/m/273/273678.jpg
The overlay is disabled for games which render from the compute queue by default because it otherwise reduces performance. use the games own framecounter overlay instead.

Something I hadn't had to do in a long while ,precompute change to 1 again for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus , AB to work.

No, there are no changes in that, and you can see that if you invest couple minutes in reading changes list between the versions in documentation supplied with application. You still need to enable PresentFromCompute (with expected performance loss) in profile template to make it working for such games. If that's something you hadn't had to do in a long while - it means that you did the edit manually that time and did't install new RTSS for a long time till now.

NCC1701D:

You need to give him a break man. This guy is at his mental tipping point when it comes to supporting his software.Read the previous comments. He doesn't get paid for help and you need to respect that. Any help you might get will likely come with attitude.
...

NCC1701D:

He's a talented programmer that should be making top dollar with a real company instead of supporting freeware. He'll realize that someday. He'll also realize that the attitude needs to be checked at the door if you want to get paid your worth. Fair compromise.
Can you finally stop derailing the thread with your smart recommendations on how to provide support for RTSS "with some class" and without "attitude"? I think Hilbert also asked to do so. If you have the experience in this area and CAN answer previously documented question and have some knowledge, which you can share with user - you're free to do it, it will actually help him and save my time. If you cannot do it - no need to start such flame and demand answers provided in different form. I repeated and will repeat the offers to use search and WILL continue asking people to avoid being lazy and search for exactly the same previously answered question, when I'm sure that the answer can be found by user himself with forum search feature. You won't be able to change that and such discussions are counterproductive and steal my work time because I'm forced to comment things like that instead of doing something more useful. Stop PLEASE.

Overtime, it becomes quite inconvenient to have to repeatedly make the same changes every time you launch a game. That's about as far from convenient as you can get. It's actually an irritation that would cause most people to find a different solution to display an OSD....

Unwinder:

And now just use search please. There are dozens of threads in this forum with problem description and detailed workaround. No need to be lazy. "Reset cache" is a good starting search pattern.
I did read the release notes, found nothing that I could make out to relate to the issue. I did have 7.2.3 installed as well 🙂 And I just recently reinstalled the PC here completely. I simply provided an issue report - so if you want to provide me with the official issue reporting thread, that I as a user of this free software that I am completely aware of is made available for free, so that I can provide my free bug reports to it, then do that. Instead of making comments like this. Have some standards.

If other moderator cleaned your previous post with direct personal insults, it doesn’t mean that I did’t see it. Reread the answer you’ve got a few times and use search term provided there. Have standard next time you get a smart idea to call someone an “ass” in public forum.

Well, I didn't want you to not see it 🙂 else I wouldn't have posted it. But I don't need to reread the responses unlike you, obviously 😛' One of the great things about guru3d is that you can come here and experience the moderator madness of the old Internet 🙂 I almost miss that part of the old net in this new SoMe world where everything just disappears instantly.

Hilbert, I give up on leaving any feedback in RTSS/AB threads in news section, sorry. Each new version related thread in this section ends by portions of hate from those who don't like to search anything but want "support with class". That is not what I need in my life; each time it just demotivates to develop anything further and leaves nothing but impression that months of work time have been wasted on nothing. Active development will completely stop one day this way and I don’t want it to happen. I’ll still continue posting in RTSS development thread, at least there I can focus on something more productive and deal with thinking users and filter such posters.

Hi Unwinder, I can tell you that from my part I think you are doing an exceptional job at developing RTSS and Afterburner. I am sure that there are lots of other users on this forum that appreciate your comments and especially the hard work that you are putting into this. I can tell you for sure, that your work is not wasted and most users are very happy with it. For all it's worth thank you for all of your comments/contribution, either in the news section or in the main section of afterburner.
