This driver (standard, non DCH) use the Microsoft store for analytics and telemetry. If you turn off the Microsoft store, the nv control panel will not function properly this issue was apparent in all but two versions of the 430.xx series. The 430.97 did not have this blight, but the 431.18 does.

I'm on the same boat as you. Are you using any dll injection like reshade perhaps? People on geforce forum swear that turning off fast startup fixes it but I have tried everything and color profile is still broken after exiting full screen games. A simple workaround I found is to press "Windows Key+Ctrl+Shift+B" to reset the display driver; It takes a fraction of a second and the color profile is set correctly after it.
The workaround only fixes the Control Panel crashing. It doesn't fix the color profile being lost. We are working with Microsoft on this.

How are you disabling the Microsoft Store? Group policy?

yes group policy, also server 2019 has a sliders switch for it as well, but I think the slider does the same thing as gpedit

have you tested 18362.207 Manuel? Microsoft claim the issue is now resolved in their KB notes.

What the hell... So this is why my Control Panel is bugged because of Group Policy.

yes and no, its bugged because nvidia is trying to do telemetry using the microsoft store analytics, folks should have an option to opt out of telemetry but besides that, if you have the microsoft store turned off, the control panel is buggy or non existent in the 430.xx and 435.xx series driver. there is an additional folder that nvidia installs in these drivers called DisplayDriveRAS for more back end telemetry (located in program files / nvidia corporation)

I want a stable faster driver in destiny2 too.. newer beyond 420+ seem to have lower fps by lowest fps scenarios.. Was at beta 430.93 and now this beta 431.18 and same stuff happening.. small regression by minimum fps.
