Hmm dropping 32-bit now? Interesting. And it's not 18.11.3 but 18.12.1 for some reason though Just Cause 4 support and that seems to be it for these, hmm. EDIT: Nothing in the profiles file, though Just Cause 4 had some entry already so it might be working quite well but maybe this driver has further fixes or some smaller performance gains. Decoder was some updates too it seems. amf-mft-mjpeg-decoder32.dll=SignatureAttributes.PETrust amf-mft-mjpeg-decoder64.dll=SignatureAttributes.PETrust These seem to be new. Motion JPEG? Joining h264 and h265 decoding from before. AMDh264Enc32.dll=SignatureAttributes.PETrust AMDh264Enc64.dll=SignatureAttributes.PETrust AMDh265Enc32.dll=SignatureAttributes.PETrust AMDh265Enc64.dll=SignatureAttributes.PETrust (Both already existed since quite some time ago.) And I'm still not seeing a entry for Polaris 20 and the 590X in these INF files. EDIT: Nope there's the 590, I'm looking for the wrong product. Ok that's sorted then.

Radeon Settings are snappier and smoother than before for me idk why though.

There's some info finally. https://videocardz.com/79193/amd-preparing-radeon-software-adreanlin-2019-edition
The new driver will be released mid-December. There is an embargo, but at this moment we are unsure if the information and the driver will be released simultaneously. First things first. The new driver is still called Adrenalin, 2019 Edition, despite the fact that it will launch this year, or so I’m told. The driver will bring a handful of enhancements and features, but I will only mention a few. Wattman The driver features new overclocking capabilities, such as one-click overclocking (including the memory – so I’ve heard). This obviously is a direct response to NVIDIA’s Turing OC Scanner, but we have no details on how the AMD tool will work exactly. Our sources claim that new Adrenalin will also support undervolting, yes you heard that right, fully automatic undervolting. This was quite a topic at Vega launch, so I’m looking forward to how efficient this tool will be. Last but not least, I have also heard about fan curvature modifications in new Wattman. Hey Radeon! Have you ever wanted to talk to your graphics card? Well, guess what, AMD will give you this opportunity with Adrenalin 2019 and AMD Link update. You will be able to issue simple commands, but only in English and Chinese. I don’t have a list of all commands yet, but I heard you can ask the software to display FPS for you, should you need it, or take a screenshot (you get the idea). Streaming to VR Headsets The last feature which I found interesting is direct streaming to standalone VR headsets. Think of Steam Link, only for VR headset. I’ve heard the technology is really smooth and lag is hardly noticeable.
From: https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comments/a1rv4s/amd_preparing_radeon_software_adreanlin_2019/ EDIT: Well voice activation and talking dirty to your graphics card I guess is a thing some people will find useful although the automated overclocking and undervolting could be interesting and for VR well that is something we'll see I guess how that works out. So from Overdrive 5 and 6 to X and now to something else. Wonder if this is going to break third party software or maybe they can just add additional functionality to this system. We will see.

Oh I so hope Fury owners (such as myself) will be able to tune HBM with these on the fly (reverting to an old driver and trixx for OCing HBM to find out where it's stable to then have to flash the bios is not fun).

"Hey Radeon: RTX ON!!" 😎

This version didn't install the #ID_STRING17# folder to the start menu so maybe that's fixed or maybe it was just an accident.

Auto undervolting and custom fan curve!!!!!! Hope it will work great

Fan curve alone would make this all worth while

It's been a while since I OC'd my pair of R9-290xs. Before Wattman, Trixx was all I needed to OC. After Wattman was released I needed some combo of Wattman and Trixx. I can't seem to get any OC now. Trixx seems to break the AMD drivers when trying to OC and then the drivers need to be reset to function "normally" again. I get decent gameplay in all games with GPUs at stock settings. I don't plan on upgrading GPUs anytime soon and if this pair fails I have a pair of 7950s as backup. Is it even possible to OC my 290xs now?

I think my dreams will never get real. I'm still waiting for AMD to implement some sort of "Nvidia's Adptive vsync" :/

This is why they have Freesync, silly. 🙂

There is Ehnaced Sync and it works great.
data/avatar/default/avatar04.webp
I've only installed the driver (bloatware free) and I've got nothing to complain about apart for Freesync freakin' out when exiting a game. Tested with Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa: Competizione, BallisticNG, Path of Exile & Space Hulk: Deathwing (Enhanced Edition).

I dont get custom fan curve and auto underwolting on 390 or i dont know where it is. https://i.imgur.com/oILEme7.png
There isn't a fan curve editor in the current drivers. Only RPM.

This driver has increased the temperatures of my MSI RX 480 Gaming X by 5-10 degrees across all games without changing anything... weird.
