And before anyone asks, no these have no affect on the L3 read/write/copy (and yes I am on Win 11 beta build which has the "fix").

Yep, this is just for the preferred core issue.

It looks that it fix my problem with Windows 11 crashing when gaming. I have R9 5900x Before this version I have experience all my cores boost randomly up to 4,95GHz it was totally fine for most of my cores but some of them don like that and i was ending up with Windows restarts. Now only best cores boost that much and weaker ones stay in safe 4,8-4,85 territory I also see much lower Chipset temps. Before my MSI x570 Unify have Chipset temp of ~63-65C (on passive cooling) now is ~58-60C So both temps and boost behavior return to state before i updated to W11 from W10

Excellent news , indeed the driver fix preferred core issue. but MS stiil doesn't release the fix for L3 problem on public channel (only on dev and release preview channel for insider)

So the L3 cache issue is fixed then? And these chipset drivers fix the cppc2 issue?
data/avatar/default/avatar29.webp
indeed guys , thank u very much for information 😉 @CPC_RedDawn : yes , the AMD Drivers fixex the cppc2 issue and L3 cache issue is "almost" fixed by the latest Win 11 pach 😉 (almost cos it seems benchmark AIDA64 is better but still below win 10)

Haven't done any benchmarks, but according to AMD, yes. https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/pa-400
As of October 21, 2021: Windows 11 update KB5006746 fully resolves the performance impact of Issue 1 described in this article. AMD Chipset Driver 3.10.08.506 fully resolves the performance impact of Issue 2 described in this article. AMD has verified that the performance and behavior of compatible AMD processors are working as intended on Windows 11 subsequent to the installation of these updates. AMD and Microsoft recommend that users promptly install this update on affected systems.

Might be within margin of error.

Honestly WTF?! All drivers are from ages ago! And this is what we were waiting for?! And not any commi against Microsoft?! Come on AMD.....

Those drivers are same like ages ago! I am really, really disappointed. But for a company, that cant save monitor files for their drivers (100% bug on memory, cant IDLE on watching simple videos) well well well....

As long as it fixes the issue.

@theoneofgod as long as it does dude. Thats the thing. Man how stupid they are? Just save the monitor files, do them into the drivers, things done. I am such angry about this bug. This HZ bug about monitors. I get totally angry on that. Because on older drivers, they managed it. I do not understand how they act. Or simply save the monitor things on a simple hard disk. Simple things. You know the HZ bug, MEM stuck 100%. This simple thing they are always threatening me. Hertz bug, things over 60hz. It is getting hilarious! This is about SIMPLE things. Not about hard programming!

if it fixed this, you have a weak/unstable core and you're just living on borrowed time.

Maybe you are right, but i never have problems with stability on my chip when i was using W10. Problems start minutes after i updated to W11. And get worst when i updated to 282 build last friday I instantly notice strange boost behavior when OS try to push single core workloads on my weaker cores of weaker CCD1 Earlier i never saw OS pushing my CCD1 to 4.95GHz (most cores should be 4,8-4.85) , in W10 single core workloads where pushed to 2 best CCD0 cores or sometimes to 2 best CCD1 cores if CPU decide to balance power/temperature When i upgraded to W11 suddenly i saw all my 12 cores boosting to 4,95GHz. What make it worst voltage pushed to core when boosting was ~1,4-1,41V and on stock setting should be ~1,45-1,48V 4,95GHz and 1,41V was ok on best cores but weaker ones sometimes where not happy. After i install chipset drivers i see everything return to normal CCD0 is boosting to 4,95GHz with single core jobs pushed toward two best cores, and CCD1 bosts are ~4,8-4,85GHz. Also max reported voltage return to 1,45-1,48V Everything above is on stock CPU settings on latest W11 ready bios ans Windows balanced power plan

It's not entirely fixed. Latency is fixed, but read/write fluctuates with every run.

Margin of error. It compares with w10.

Can the three images in this article be labelled so I know what I am looking at??
