I just installed the new AMD 16.6.2 and saw massive improvements with cross with my 2 7870's get 50-60fps at maxed settings. With one card I get 30fps solid. One problem remains, the xp bar is flickering still, is this a driver issue still or cd projekt ?

Guess that's the result of whatever they changed so it seems to be working albeit with some glitches still. (Of course the problem is also that Witcher 3 has been released for a fair while now and even if it's a Gameworks title slow support for good scaling can be very detrimental or how to say, I don't use CF/SLI myself but I can imagine only being able to use part of the full combined GPU's power must be frustrating though going by the above mess of flags or whatever Crossfire/SLI is probably a very complex system too.) (Well "duh" I guess going by how even regular profiles likely have all sorts of tweaks and "hacks" to them too so add a second GPU or even a third or fourth and things get complex very fast unless the GPU vendor itself is part of the development process since early on.)

I will say the improvements for witcher 3 is great in xfire, but not enough to play witcher 3 in xfire. After testing more , there's hiccups in frame rate. new cards might get more benefit since my cards are a few years old .

That's what I liked to know. I experience lot of framerate hiccups, (micro)stutters and stuff as well in TW3 still, on my R9 290X crossfire setup, even with the excellent scaling that it has. So I can guess that still hasn't changed unfortunately :frown: EDIT: Checked by myself just to be sure: The hitches are still there and get worse whenever detail is increased (i.e. VSR to 3200x1800, Hairworks ON). When I disable Crossfire fps is lower (but still acceptable, with Hairworks Off ofcourse, and at 'only' 1440p), but there are next to no hitches and stutters. EDIT2: On a side note: the flickering in the menu's seems to have ALMOST disappeared.

better to have some known issues that are being worked on, than issues that are being swept under a carpet / denied / not mentioned at all.

The RX 480 is part of a larger family. It makes sense that the driver might have the same issues as it does with other parts of that family, and it's generally good that they are acknowledged. It's also a new product and it's expected to have at least some initial weirdness as it reaches more and more people and release issues are ironed out.

Installed My Fiji as Polaris10. Performance went down. Compute was horrid. Utilization all over place. Then I added registry entries for Fiji and altered those different from Polaris10 to Fiji. Performance got bit better but still quite worse than 16.6.1. Then I did uninstall and clean install of 16.6.2, same performance as with Fiji registry. Do not like this driver at all. Does not give any advantage, anything new. I wonder if Polaris 10 has actually lower performance than it would have with proper driver too. Fiji release driver was so bad that I installed it card as HD7970 and it performed better than any reviewed card as I got better utilization.

Ugh, guessing there's still no fix for not being able to enable VSR over HDMI (at least, for TVs). Unless they'd fix it but not mention it.

Sweet, I am balls deep in TW3 right now, am a bit excited to see what improvements for xfire this driver brings! I get some stutter right now, but its acceptable, its not until I use VSR that its simply unplayable. Lets see what happens! Keep em coming AMD! I had black screens and "no signal" for so long, and I have only had 1 in the last month, thats what I call progress.

Crossfire is much improved in TW3. I still have some flickering on the map and in the inventory, but much better than it was. Game has very little stutter now, although I still cant use VSR without it hitching every 2-3 seconds. I am happy.
