Is it worthy to hype over? :/

DX12 multi-GPU in AotS, eh? :gape: I don't have the time to test myself right now, but if anyone has a chance to do it I'd love to hear how that performs. Affinity multi-GPU for the SteamVR test too, that's something I'm curious about as well. These drivers look quite interesting.

Performance on 3DMark and API calls is the same as before.

AMD Crimson 16.2 Hotfix AMD has partnered with Stardock in association with Oxide to bring gamers Ashes of the Singularity – Benchmark 2.0 the first benchmark to release with DirectX® 12 benchmarking capabilities such as Asynchronous Compute, multi-GPU and multi-threaded command buffer Re-ordering. Radeon Software Crimson Edition 16.2 is optimized to support this exciting new release.
Not only partnered for the benchmark...partnered for the whole game. It's an AMD showcase to expose what we can get in a game when AMD GPUs performance is not broke by game devs focused in giving a better performance in the GPUs of the 80% market GPU maker. I can't blame game publisher to accept that fact (Nvidia "supporting" game devs), after all game publisher sell games and 80% of market target is more important than 20%.
AMD Crimson 16.2 Hotfix Resolved Issues A black screen/TDR error may be encountered when booting a system with Intel + AMD graphics and an HDMI monitor connected Choppy gameplay may be experienced when both AMD Freesync™ and AMD Crossfire™ are both enabled Display corruption may be observed after keeping system idle for some time Fallout 4 - Flickering may be experienced at various game locations with the v1.3 game update and with AMD Crossfire™ enabled Fallout 4 - Foliage/water may ripple/stutter when game is launched in High/Ultra settings mode Fallout 4 - Screen tearing in systems with both AMD Freesync™ and AMD Crossfire™ enabled if game is left idle for a short period of time Fallout 4 - Thumbnails may flicker or disappear while scrolling the Perk levels page Far Cry 4 - Stuttering may be observed when launching the game with AMD Freesync™ and AMD Crossfire™ enabled FRTC options are displayed on some unsupported laptop configurations with Intel CPU's and AMD GPU's Radeon Settings may sometimes fails to launch with a "Context Creation Error" message Rise of the Tomb Raider™ - Corruption can be observed at some locations during gameplay Rise of the Tomb Raider™ - Flickering may be experienced at various game locations when the game is left idle in AMD Crossfire™ mode under Windows 7 Rise of the Tomb Raider™ - Game may intermittently crash or hang when launched with very high settings and AA is set to SMAA at 4K resolution Rise of the Tomb Raider™ - Lara Croft's hair may flicker in some locations if the Esc key is pressed Rise of Tomb Raider™ - A TDR error may be observed with some AMD Radeon 300 Series products after launching the "Geothermal Valley" mission The AMD Overdrive™ memory clock slider does not show original clock values if memory speeds are overclocked World of Warcraft runs extremely slowly in quad crossfire at high resolutions
So a lot of problems are fixed for Fallout 4 but there are still problems with CFX profile because it's included in know issue section and the best solution is disable it as usual. :3eyes:
AMD Crimson 16.2 Hotfix Known Issues A few game titles may fail to launch or crash if the Gaming Evolved overlay is enabled. A temporary workaround is to disable the AMD Gaming Evolved "In Game Overlay" Star Wars™: Battlefront - Corrupted ground textures may be observed in the Survival of Hoth mission Cannot enable AMD Crossfire with some dual GPU AMD Radeon HD 59xx and HD 79xx series products Fallout 4 - In game stutter may be experienced if the game is launched with AMD Crossfire enabled XCOM 2 - Flickering textures may be experienced at various game locations Rise of the Tomb Raider™ - The game may randomly crash on launch if Tessellation is enabled Core clocks may not maintain sustained clock speeds resulting in choppy performance and or screen corruption
3 months and a gazillion hotfixes later we still don't have a good CFX profile. AMD please add an option in GPU drivers to disable your mandatory "ultra mega power saving feature" for ppl who want performance over cost even if that means some cents or even some dollars in the next power bill! If you do that you will see that magically solves the problem and AMD GPUs will be able to maintain clock speeds when the driver is not downclocking them at the worst time. :bang:

fallout 4 crossfire runs like a charm here

High idle temp bug. Around 60ºc Good Job AMD.

Seriously crossfire profiles for a benchmark and a game that isn't out, but they can't unlock crossfire for siege after how many months?

Ashes of the Singularity – Benchmark 2 is out in beta and very easy to get and as for the Division it's good they are planning a head but you guys are never happy about anything

Like i said in another thread, poor AMD suffer "Greedy customers syndrome" whom continuously ask for new drivers AND at the same time expect them to do something different than simply breaking working features. :D

... but you guys are never happy about anything
It's more like they're unhappy about things that don't get fixed. They probably also don't care about AotS benchmark and The Division. So, yeah, they can be happy about something, but AMD just haven't delivered. Ask FunkyMike how much effort the community took just to get AMD fix the black screen / Intel+AMD / HDMI error on laptops.

First off, sorry for the double post.
Glad to see that AMD released 16.2 for 5000/6000 also. http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop/legacy?product=legacy3&os=Windows+10+-+64
Tried the legacy for my laptop and Radeon Settings still has a non-working per-game profile setting. Ended up just updating the driver via Driver Manager to this set and installing CCC from 15.7.1; profiles work fine again. And yes, I did use DDU in Safe Mode.

The division worked great without this driver and im sure it will work great with whatever they have done im always happy with amd because i never have any issues with any driver

No such issue here. What's your card and OS?

Same here, my Idle temps are 32C. But there can be so many elements that affect that, your tower, fans - airflow - Room temperature etc. But eh, he might wanna update the profile card under the avatar since its listed as "KFA2 Nvidia GTX 670 ".

Ok here the idle bug continues. I mean the memory clock continues to work as if it is on load at 1200MHZ Core clock is working well, it gets to idle and load state when needed. About the Overhead API, DX11 the results stays the same, altough on DX12 it recieved a massive improvement. from 7 851 820 to 8 277 381

Comparing the profile file between this and the Vulkan branch driver (16.xx.xx whereas these are 15.xx.xx) shows that it's missing most of those changes ( http://forums.guru3d.com/showpost.php?p=5233625&postcount=61 ) but there's a profile for The Divison (Which will be useful when the full game launches in two weeks or so.) and there's also a profile for Far Cry Primal. Not too surprising though since this is basically a continuation of 16.1 and 16.1.1 with some further fixes but unfortunately also some new known issues. EDIT: Oh and yeah the Ashes of Singularity profile was updated but that's part of the release notes already. (Interestingly the profile for Rise of the Tomb Raider that was in the Vulkan driver was not in these, maybe it needed further tweaking.)
