I didn't know that Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy was on pc. Game play seems solid. On console.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy is not a bad game, but it's far from perfect. The fight is very simple and can get bored after a few skirmishes, it will not surprise us with anything. Graphically it's fine, turning on RTX makes the game unplayable, and the graphics quality hasn't improved much. The PC version does not perform very well in terms of performance. Lots of bugs, crashes, script problems, plenty soft and hard locks.

About Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: day one patch confirmed by Square Enix, to fix RTX stuttering problems, crashes and gameplay bugs that sometimes block your progress. As side note I'm surprised to see a single player only game in 2021, without micro-macro transactions, in game store or without a season pass, what is that, a 2009? xD

The screenshot bug was indeed fixed. Nice job by AMD

Rock stable drivers for me. But still not solved the mem stuck bug 100% while watching normal Youtube vids. Speed is amazing. VLC player no flickers. No bluescreens on VLC anymore, when u repeat a certain, a special scene all over again. Via the tool "Radeon Slimmer" you can get some bloatware away like amdcrashguard or what the name is. I give those drivers a 9/10. Using an XFX Speedster RX 6800 XT MERC319 @2300mhz @1120 mV on a DELL S3220DGF via displayport. Edit Windows 11 22000.282 AMD CPU 5800X This graphic card i use G Skill RipjawsV F4-3600C14-16GVKA *2 Asus ROG Strix B550-E Gaming Sound Blaster AE-9PE Bequiet Dark Power 12 1000W Bench...Score 17800 all stock, CPU boost not activated@3800 @3DMark this is totally okay for me, i am satisfied and after all i am happy. And Greta has a happy face too, because i save energy....:D 😀 😀 About the mem bug when you watch youtube videos or streams...just turn off hardware acceleration inside your browser. You wont see any lower quality. And the graphic card will soak much less power. Less heat = Less fan noise.

probable issue with Guardians of the Galaxy with blocky lighting/shadows seems to be driver related as people with 21.10.2 don't have that problem (to be confirmed ...) https://steamcommunity.com/app/1088850/discussions/0/3118172724637313051/ CPU : Ryzen 5950X GPU : Radeon RX 6900 XT -- drivers 21.10.3 MB : Gigabyte X570 Aorus XTREME (rev. 1.1) BiOS F35c
Alan Wake is calling. 😀 Bugs as usual. But i am happy with those new drivers, really! I gonna wait to buy this game. As i always do. Maybe if the prize is 30 Euros. Then i buy. Nice setup you have, my friend! Nice! It is not driver related. Keep the new drivers, check them out more! Slim them too. Alan Wake was mess. Totally bad programmed. Slim the drivers. Reboot. Run on stock first. Slim them like Slim Shady. ;=) Here the drivers run totally smooth and slimmed.

hmm, i'm not sure if it's a driver issue alone. https://steamcommunity.com/app/1088850/discussions/0/3118172724637313051/#c3118172724637353840 Post #5
Guardians of the Galaxy is charming, heartwarming, and beset by technical issues. That brings me to the core, debilitating issue with Guardians. This game is frequently, flagrantly broken. At one point I ran into three different crashes within a single hour of play. One was a bizarre soft-lock, the other two were straight-up hardcore freezes that required an alt-F4 to escape. The first boss I fought stopped moving a few times; it was stuck in stasis as I blasted away at its tentacles, scoring oodles of cheap damage. The game routinely believed Star-Lord had fallen down a phantom pit, and it dutifully teleported me back to some sort of crucible of danger completely haphazardly. I needed to reload checkpoints in order to get certain progression choke-points to trigger. It's bad, and Square Enix knows it. When I first downloaded my review code for Guardians, it came in at a ridiculous 150GB size. A few days later, the company issued a new version that reduced the file size and promised greater stability. The crashes I described earlier all occurred after that big patch, though. Another patch came after and more will come, but the odds that every physics anomaly and crash will be swept up within days of launch are slim—the post-launch bug fixing phase can go for months and months with big games. This makes Guardians of the Galaxy a difficult game to recommend right now.

okay, going back to 21.10.2 and the issue is gone ... but the game is not perfect, tho' cos' now it's a bit stuttery (it was butter smooth with 21.10.3) so I guess we'll have to make a choice between blocky hell and stutter hell 😉

When will we get the next normal driver that works without bugs only 21.5.2 worked with VR stuttering, then was fixed at 21.8.x, and now bugs are all over the place. it's more like one fix at a time and quadriple the bugs.

I'm just wondering, why is it that when I use vsync so a game is locked to 60fps / refresh rate of the monitor is 60Hz, why does the game always report 56.2 in the case for Fallout New Vegas, other games do this too at 56.number , well at least games my system is capable of running at those frames... why 56? why not 60? Or is the game really running at 60 and this is just what radeon software reports it as? https://i.imgur.com/P58dFHH.jpg

these stats seem to be broken/work differently. having stable 60 in game always comes up here as 55

The AVG you see there is from the first 60 secs of the game. This is mostly menuing and most of the time, there are framedrops between menu and loading screens. That's what you are seeing there. Unless they changed it to record the whole playtime.

Nice perf gains and bug fixes, on top of fixes in prev driver plus official Doom Eternal 6.66 support. Whatever that means. Gonna install these.

Installed today and played some Diablo 2R few hours without issues. Finishing Alan Wake remaster as we speak runs great.
