Thanks AMD, keep up the good work! 🙂

Dying Light's CrossFire was fixed by a patch from Techland itself IIRC. Can't say about the rest.
I have dying light. CFX performance is still awful. FC4 CFX performance is still awful...... and about that time I wised up and quit buying games day one. I am sure TW3 is amazing, don't care anymore. I am sure this game might be great don't care anymore. I'll buy battlefront because it is frostbite and that engine runs well on AMD. Everything else, I will just wait until AMD finally gets it together or wait until they are on a deep, deep discount. These 290x's have single handedly ruined my excitement for new games. Anymore I'm just like "whatever", I will check on release notes to see if there is any fixes. Never is, so I just go play some old game I never finished or play the PS4. Playing Mafia 2 currently. Deus Ex: HR is probably next. For all i know or care it is probably the same with Nvidia, so it isn't worth getting upset over. Just glad I realized I was throwing good money after bad.

Yeah, I may be switching sides, but repost, that was a very immature comment that doesn't make much sense at all. Tisk tisk

What's a build number? Still 14.50x.xx?

Does anyone know if this supports OpenGL 4.5?
data/avatar/default/avatar03.webp
Well I suppose at least you got a Driver out... But the lack of CFX support is a complete joke now. As others have said this isn't a one off thing, it's basically every major game. If you're not going to support a (very expensive!) feature then just don't sell it.

I posted this in another forum, but thought it made sense. I wonder what the culture is like there right now? Got to be pretty scary with all the rumors. Makes you wonder if that is having an effect on the state of drivers. If i knew I was on a sinking ship, I don't know what my level of effort would be. I hope they turn it around, I don't want to see people lose jobs, but at the same time it's looking dismal. right now I just keep saying wait until windows 10, and hoping it really gets better.

the9quad, you can always sell off the R9 290Xs and get yourself a GTX 970 SLI or a GTX 980 Ti. Just saying. I really can not justify the purchase of any AMD GPUs anymore, regardless of whether it's the Fury X or R 300 line up. Dual or Tri configuration GPUs has it's quirks on both camps, but nvidia seem to have a lot less problems compared to AMD in all departments. I have just realized this sad truth, that all the modded drivers and stuff that you see in the forums regarding improving CPU overhead and etc. are rendered pointless when you realize that an equivalent nvidia card scores higher in DirectX 11 CPU overhead tests compared to AMD's DirectX 11 results because of their superior drivers.

I like stay on both sides. lol I may purchase a R9 Fury and split these 2 670s into my other 2 rigs. Personally I never had 1 issue when I had my 7950 crossfire, in fact I still miss it and felt they were better then my 670 sli. AMD drivers are up and down depending on the time of year and sometimes the year, but its the same for nvidia. Nvidia is plauged with tdr issues right now on Kepler, and Kepler fiasco is just getting worse and worse.

Can someone make a Draw Calls Test (DX11) ? The last post is 2 Weeks old (overhead thread) I have the impression nobody cares about anymore. Ok, somehow understandable DX12 is on the way .

People saying they'll "switch" will soon realize the grass isn't always greener ( no pun intended, honest! ). Just look at Nvidia's own release drivers for the game. Here's the 'know issues' list: [SLI, Batman: Arkham Knights] With a 4Kdisplay, a TDR occurs after the in-game resolution is toggled and the application is exited. [200116725] [SLI, Batman: Arkham Knights] Heavy flickering occurs in game after Alt+Tab if SLI isenabled. [200116723] [SLI, Batman: Arkham Knights] Severe stuttering seen, especially in indoor scenes, when the game is running at 4K resolution and NVIDIA Gameworks settings are turned on. [200116722] [SLI, Batman: Arkham Knights] Random flickering occurs in the game if SLI is enabled. [200116717] [GM206, SLI, Batman: Arkham Knights] Stuttering occurs and performance drops after shadow quality settings are toggled. [200116694] [GK180, SLI, Batman: Arkham Knights] When SLI is enabled, a crash points to ntdll.dll shortly after the game is exited. [200116717] Both sides have issues with drivers. Deal with it or go buy a console.

I started having issues recently. Honestly they were great on every game I played, but those games I were playing were just fun.. nothing extraordinary. Then the Witcher 3 came out. A game I've been waiting to playing for years now. I've never seen such bad performance from my setup before. Still, it quickly became my favorite game of all time tied with Ocarina of Time. It's so conflicting, mentally, playing your favorite game with stuttering and flickering, barely reaching 30 FPS, on GPU's you spent $600 on a couple years ago. That alone was enough to get me thinking of switching. Seeing that big Nvidia splash screen on all my games made me realize that more and more games are being designed around Nvidia. I won a nice chunk of money about a month ago and after logging 70 hours into the Witcher 3 I just can't take it anymore. Then seeing that CFX is disabled in Batman was just ridiculous. So I just bought an EVGA 980 Ti that came with Batman for free. Going to rip apart my loop and sell my cards. They were great, but I can't take the lack of support for the expensive multi-GPU setups anymore. I do feel for AMD though. They have so much **** going on and so many complaints which I'm sure is worrying everyone who works there. As much as I want to support them I no longer can. I will still keep an eye on them though. I hope this all improves.

I'm playing W3 with 7950CF 1920x1200, settings mostly ultra/high (foliage, shadows high), and have pretty steady 60FPS, drops in big cities though. Minimal stuttering (have to use vsync and framlimit via RTSS though) and minimal flickering (mostly flickering in menues). I wonder why there are so different experiences in CF in this game, as I see both that report similar things as me and are satisfied, and people that has lots of flickering and bad performance. Almost sounds like the 15.5 driver with CF support isn't installed properly for some people..

The answer to that question is 1440p 🙂 I clean my drivers with DDU every time I install a new (or old) one. Even installed on a clean format with the same issues. Anyways, BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU SAY PEOPLE! I GOT AN INFRACTION FOR MY OPINION OF THE DRIVERS AND LISTING THE REASONS FOR MY PURCHASE TODAY I'm not bragging and not hating on the mod who gave it to me. I just don't want to see anyone else get in trouble for what they are saying in here. Don't ban me!

Why isn't there a unified driver for all gpus?
Probably because it offers extra benefits to older GPUs, and they want to ride the wave of making the newer redbadges look better than they are for a little while before unifying them.
