Was I mistaken in thinking the upcoming WHQLs, presumably based on 14.4, were going to support Windows Vista? Not for my 8800 GTS (as my 7970 Matrix is provisionally dead), but for my better half's 7850OC. 😉

mantle + bf4 + 7870 is still unplayable (very noticeable fps drops with both vsync ON and OFF) tested with amd-catalyst-14.4-rc-v1.0-windows-apr17.exe package from amd site

it seems like fps drops became even greater with vsync OFF =) with vsync ON it seems the same as with previous drivers. the main improvement is that fps drops are now the same for any vsync =) (with 14.3beta vsync OFF was smoother)

So, I tested this drivers, and it seems that Mantle still **** on my card, but DirectX performance improve a little. Test range (The lowest fps that I see) 14.3beta - 48 14.4rc - 51 6.25% of Improvements, I Will see the real gains in multiplayer... Thief build-in benchmark DirectX improve whole 0.2fps compare to 14.3beta.

Since there is no improvement vs. previous beta´s.. i guess im still SOL with my 2GB 270X card? Anyone with LESS than 3GB and/or 290 cards see any difference?

Uhm have you guys uninstalled drivers then in safe mode used DDU. i did that and the drivers feels better. i tried crysis 3 and BF4 and both feels better to me

In Farcry 3 I still get 100% usage on one core and the rest is basically doing nothing.
