Weird issue going on since the last 2-3 driver releases.... No matter what OC settings I apply in the driver control panel for my RVII, they dont actually do those speeds in ANY SINGLE GAME.. The card just uses default speeds. WTH is going on here?

So far so good. Not yet had a black screen/system freeze. Will see tomorrow. Maybe I can finally leave the 'trusty' 19.7.5 behind?

Would be nice but I saw a few mentions of it happening on Reddit so not too sure, going to give it a try this weekend and see how it goes whatever is causing it, was going to get into it more once I had the rest of the new system hardware but there's a chance AMD will be working out the remaining bigger problems like this before that's fully up even if it might take until the 19.11 or 19.12 driver releases and whatever major and minor code branch the driver version will end at by that point. What games are giving you issues? Had no issues with Doom and P.Cars so far...even 4K with VSR runs great. However, The Sinking City crashes/gives a black screen when trying to interact with the gun on the shelf at the very start of the game... EDIT: Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Metro Exodus(had some multi-colored strings(?) during the "maul" at the beginning of the game) both run well.
Rage 2, CoD WWII, Assassins Creed Origins are the three main culprits I'm fighting with right now as I want to finish them but am prevented due to the crashing. Rage 2 may work for a while and then just randomly crash. Funny enough though, buggy games like Star Citizen and Arma 3 run all day without issue. That has stumped me I tell ya. Other notable games that crash are BF1, Dishonoured 2 and Wolfenstein The New Order.

I'm still on 19.8.2. Looks like I may have to test this new build. Although I have finally managed to play games without too many frequent issues, by upgrading the PSU (I had a cheap Novatech budget PSU). I am cautious about trying new drivers. If they stop the crashing I'll be happy đŸ™‚

Try to limit Max Tesselation to 6X in Radeon Settings. Should look "correct", along with potentially being faster. For Origins, try to set Volumetric Clouds to Low or Off. Odyssey runs well for me with those set - even @ 4K VSR.

See the Radeon vii thread on this site. You have to undervolt, change fan curves if needed, etc. Did you adjust the power slider?

Yes, 20%+ For me problem starts since 19.9.2 before I was easily hitting 2Ghz. If game is in window mode overclock is fine but when full screen card is going down to 1.6Ghz .

:D All good with less rendered textures, sure, more fps without correct image. This driver didn't pass QA for the outer worlds. Should be a banable cheat, don't be happy.

you have to revert to driver 19.7.5 or older for RVII... wattman is broken for our cards with anything newer then 19.7.5.. I just went through this myself
