Yeah, when you get a long stretch of 6 left and rights it can be actually scary as hell tearing through the trees, but incredibly rewarding when you get it all together.

After having spend a few hours reading online yesterday, it's seems DR2 won't have VR support at launch. https://www.usgamer.net/articles/dirt-rally-20-has-no-vr-support-planned Also with the huge betrayal and letdown of DiRT 4 (which was hyped up as DR2) I don't see myself ever going to buy this.

Real shame if it doesn't have VR support, Dirt Rally is amazing in VR with my Thrustmaster T300, it's scary but good scary 😀 I suppose there's always a chance they could patch it in the same as with Dirty Rally, not as good as if it's developed from the ground up with VR support but if it works, still keeping my fingers crossed with this one.

Dirt 3 was one of my favorite racing games, minus the Gymkhana mode. Dirt Rally didn't do it for me - if it weren't for D3 I'd probably have hated it. So, if DR2 is anything like the first one, I'm not going to get it.

I miss the long stages like in Rally Championship 2000. Those are awesome.

Hopefully my 'gamers thumb' would have healed by release date.

And sky has proper color palette, not this bs dithering going on like by original Dirt after they added vr.

Yah, I can't play non VR racing games now and that is mostly because of the original Dirt Rally. I don't usually pre-order but this is an instant buy for me, easily one of the best Rally games (and driving games in general) ever made imho. My only complaint is the relatively short stages, sadly that seems to be the norm these days. @boom12a1 : Yep, me too. I used to love Mobil 1 Rally for that very reason, some of the stages were upwards of 30 minutes long. Here is a 26 minute trip down memory lane: [youtube=zPeByb99pxU]

I was very disappointed with Dirt Rally after CM2.0 and RBR games. It's as if they had Americanized it to death. It felt over done in an American way if you understand me. I don't know it just never grabbed me like other rally games. For me rally died along with many fans because of Group B. When Group B = Banned then the sport died with it. Of course we can still have good rally games but if it's based off today's sport then it will be as boring and bad as Dirt Rally. Don't get me wrong i played it a lot but missed the long stages and real stages of WRC.

Played Dirt Rally for 65 hours. With the keyboard 😛 (Yes, I usually play racing games with the keyboard.) Hopefully they will have better keyboard controls in the next one. A hard-steer key would be nice, for example. Such a simple thing, yet they refused to add it in DR. They had it back in Colin McRae Rally 2005 14 years ago. The lack of multiplayer in DR was the main reason why I stopped playing though. Again, they had multiplayer back in CMR 2005. You race live all at once, up to 8 players, with the other players being transparent ghost cars that consist only of the outline of a car. So it's still rally, not destruction derby. It was tons of fun. When asked why it isn't in DR, CM gave a dishonest answer: "Because rendering more than 1 car is too much for the graphics engine and it would sacrifice the graphics detail of the stages." But the question wasn't about adding full cars. Just ghost outlines of cars. Which has 0 impact on perf... Hopefully they'll get it right in DR2.
