Cool now I can play games at 5 fps. Not sure I understand why only a 32" though.

I'd like to see a 4k version of this. And for Dell to quit ripping off people who will buy it simply for the numbers rather than knowing exactly how much they will appreciate 8k over 4k in a 32" panel.

1440p @ 32inch, 4k @ 36inch and 8k @ 42 inch. Thats the perfect size for these resolutions in my opinion.

Yeah, I would even say 46'' to 50'' for 8k, but i can see why they wouldn't make it too big since its a monitor and not a tv. But at 5k..... well, its all pretty silly.

Can we even read the fonts @ 8k resolution. 4k is plenty enough for me, plenty of real estate in desktop. I cant imagine twice that resolution,,,, I wont be able to see anything and ruin my eyes. I guaratnee you this same monitor will be 1k within a year. Also its not curved which is better for adobe and studio max pro's .....You can buy a 4k Samsung TV for 1k 65 inches. Now we pay 5 thousand dollars for a 32 incher. sighs, Its alll about money, and curved was to make money but curved sux IMO and never gained popularity. They can talk about Hz anymore that was years ago ,, 120hz is fine or 240 motion. But thats old tech.. So they came up with curved, which is stupid if you ask me, trying to get money out of your pockets,, until the 8k comes out then they rape you for more money. Just my 2 cents.. gl and gb

Of course its expensive because they are the only ones that have an 8K monitor so they can charge whatever they want. Remember when the first 1080p TV's came out they were super expensive too.

I'm on 4K 27''. Still see staircase effect. So at least 8K for 27''. 16K would be ideal indeed.

4k at 40'' is bad enough, i wish i got at least 47'' gaming is lovely when i have done. But there is a limit, 4k at 32 '' and smaller is an early death for your eyes 🤓

Who the hell in their right mind use it for gaming? There no single word about gaming in article. This is obviously for professional usage as image and video editing. Not all monitors designed for gaming. Not all Guru3d articles about gaming hardware.

Its nice Dell is trying, but at this size 4K with 144Hz and 1ms would be nicely enough.
I am getting wet by thinking 4k@144hz for office usage.

keep your spikes in :wanker: Not on about gaming with this monitor - it was a blanket statement with res and size. I dont hardly game, and scaling wise i find i have to use 200% for os and .... 4k at 40'' urgh! i did read all of it, adobe and that, not a gaming monitor for sure!

Considering it's 16x the resolution of 1080p, you'd get 5 fps in games you get 80 fps in now... and you'd need 4 Display Port 1.2 cables, which is only supported by the latest Quadros which is what demo units of that thing ran off of. Or you know, one DP 1.4 cable. Edit: Actually, that thing is supposed to be a 10 bit monitor. DP 1.4 can only do 8K 60Hz at 8 bits, you'd still need 2 cables for 10 bit. :wanker:

dell make 8k cause maybe there is demand for it even it small but we are not really ready yet for 8k with current gpu its more like wasting resource for pulling 8k image the when into the game, i bet people going downscale to 1440p or even 1080p even there might no visible degrade on image quality due to high ppi but still it like waste money, as with $5k probably we can get 2 or even 3 32" 1440p display
