I didn't know it was that bad in the EU. Right now NewEgg.ca is scalping the already rounded-up $1400 reference models themselves at $1600+... pre-tax, so it's not only Europe, but I figured there might be some EU store that's taking back orders to avoid stupid prices.

My personal experience with their GPUs and CPUs, doesn't matter what it was. Intel CPU and Nvidia GPU has always been smooth sailing.

Ha, well I did wonder about that too! Congrats to the winners, it was always going to be low probability of winning, especially with 3 competitions vs the larger number in the past. I'm happy to see the competitions here at Christmas, it's a little Christmas tradition that I play them!
