Things will improve in time. This timeframe is so bad for gamers as in hardware available GPUs mostly, so even less players could play the game. Maybe I am too optimistic and give too much credit to CDProjekt.

Once the targeted player base gets their hardware upgraded i'm sure many will return.

I know, we're under strict lockdown until who knows when. 😳

Jokes aside, times will get better we'll get our new gpus and game will be in better state by then.

I mean it's a single player game, once you do the content you turn it off.

Still jumping in when I can tbh. It's more serious tone and obviously sci-fi setting has kept me interested so far, but, then I only have 21hrs atm.

It's not a bad game, but it's not Witcher 3 level. Also, I put the game away until they clean up the bugs and gpu's are actually available at retail level. Playing without Ray Tracing effects in this game make it quite boring. I tried pushing my 2080 and wish I hadn't. This is the first game that really improves IQ with RT, imo. Hard playing without it to achieve decent frames but had to. Decided, eh, I'll just wait.

I am still waiting for patches, DLCs and new drivers... No hurry...

Well I've clocked 140 hours played, even went as far as to clear the map 100% and all this on a mix of medium-high settings and an avg. 35~ FPS... needless to say I squeezed everything there was to squeeze from my poor 1080Ti @ 3440x1440... I can't remember the last time I've played a game in such horrible conditions. But the fact that I did, and I did encounter a ton of bugs, means at least to me, that the game had/has potential. Normally I would have immediately started a second playthrough, but adding the ton of bugs on top of lackluster performance, I just decided to wait for GPU upgrade and patches. Hence why I am in those 80%. Maybe the best route would have been to simply not play the game at all until then, but given as I had it prepaid for over a year and I was scared to get spoiled because of all the hype on the interwebs and even mainstream media, I just couldn't wait. Anyway, not surprised at all about the decline. Huge hype + bugfest + single player only (won't even mention last gen console debacle), it could not end up otherwise. Of one thing I am sure though, the game will age a lot better for the hardcore fans, especially after those fans get their hands on new GPUs and CDprojekt patches the shit out of the game.

I played only few hours until now. I bought it together with Assassin's Creed Valhalla which I am enjoying more. 😛 After finishing that I will come back to it. Hopefully by then CDProject will address some of issues. Speaking of issues Valhalla is also full of these. 😳

Maybe the hype is now over and this will help normalize GPU availability and price.

... and modders will give their efforts.

I've pretty much done everything, unlocked all the endings including Johnny's secret one, got all the cars and won all the fights, basically cleared the map of all sidequests, I have no desire to start again until there's some new dlc and they've fixed all the bugs but I'm not surprised with this news, a lot of people are stuck locked down with not much to do so games will get completed a lot quicker and the fact this game lacks an online element.

I stopped playing for now. Will return once the game gets (patched) properly optimized and running smooth on my 3090 oc...i can't be bothered to overclock my 5k€ system in order to run this game how it's supposed to be ran. I'm sure many other people are in the same boat with me on this.

You have bad performance on 3090 ? Seriously. I have Ryzen 6800 + R5600X , and it DESTROYS the game. FPS never dip below 70-80. Never any stutter .

I don't know about that. If anything, gamers have more time to play games these days than ever before. Hundreds of millions of people across the world are in lockdown, sitting at home.

I'm going to wait for the "Enhanced Edition" or whatever they'll call it. Get some 20 solid patches out and release some DLC. Then I'll buy it on sale for £14.99, no problem.

I still waiting for "goty" edition which will have all the patchs and fixes hopefully and what aver DLC and at very least a new gpu. so could be years... I still have yet to install and play Witcher 3 which ironicly was main reason I got 1070ti step up and didnt stick with 1060gtx cause 1070ti could do witcher 3 maxed out at 1080p and 60fps awith lots power to spare. See how far I got with that I blame it on Skyrim SE cause when I do start playing game on pc is general a "restart" of skyrim..
