No. Wait for RTX 40 series.

That's not really the question! "Will yo' Momma' handle it?' is the question.

Probably low effort remasters just like the first one.

Considering what they did with the Crysis Remaster, there's little hope for these other remasters. Seems Crytec just wants a quick cash grab, with low effort and investment.

It look like yes, despite they have really work on it (even more if you have the original + HD pack + reshaded mod + engine 2 mod)... Sometime a "Remastered" version is worse than original or give so few more that you don't see it on screen (Warcraft 3, Command and Conquer or Crysis...) The good point is that it make it work out of the download without dosbox or tricks to make it work with new hardware or OS. I think that the real problem is to be creativite instead of making a "remastered" old glory.

I think they first remastering is fine. At looks a lot better then original and runs way better. Plus DF video is direct interview, not opinions from DF.

Give us a new crysis or fuck off, fed up with those remasters.

Considering the Original Crysis Remaster was not worth getting, I do not hold out any hope for 2 or 3, either.

No computer made today can run Crysis above 60 FPS on all the maps. People who tell you different just BS. Sad but true

The sequel requires a real work, dedication and new ideas which crytek does not have.

The remaster was dreadful. They made zero engine improvements, the game still used more or less a single CPU core with near zero multithreading. Even DF made another few videos (them being crytek fanboys) and even Alex said the remaster was a let down especially on PC where the console version actually ran much better on next gen consoles. Here is a video of the crap that was the remaster.... [youtube=rmm5-l2YF28]

Crysis Remastered is just unplayable for me at settings I would like to play at,it is not enjoyable at all . I have been replaying Crysis 3 in the last couple weeks. Having a blast but I think I will put down Crysis 3 and wait for the remaster,I hope they do not want $40-$50 bucks for these remasters. That would suck hard when you already own the game.

Still runs way better then original does. No where the amount of frame drops etc. Remastering could have been better for sure, but i welcome them and will not throw a fit about them.

Crytek needs to get these remasters right. To tarnish their reputation and put-off investors would be a terrible move and would also mean Crysis 4 is delayed.

On my rig the remaster of C1 runs dramatically better than the original does. Reading over this thread I’m wondering if people have revisited the remaster alongside the original on its most recent patches. The remaster certainly shipped in a disappointing state, but it’s a noticeable improvement over the original in a number of discernible ways. E.g. vastly superior antialiasing and DLSS / RT support / much better CPU optimization despite the constant sentiment otherwise (seriously, on my 3900X I get a massive uplift in CPU perf in the remaster VS the original which I can’t even hit 60 FPS with consistently due to being CPU bottlenecked very hard/the original hitches often while the remaster is smooth on my rig). I’m not saying the remaster is multithreaded to high heaven or anything, but it’s a big improvement on modern CPUs over the original when you sit down and play them back to back. Obviously DF love Crysis and Crytek but you can watch their videos testing the original crysis and their new videos testing the remaster and see just on the MSI Afterburner overlay that CPU utilization and core scaling have been improved quite a bit. Not the degree of a modern DX12 game or something like DOOM Eternal obviously, but better than the original by a meaningful degree? Absolutely. In fairness, I can’t comment personally on the state of remaster at launch, I heard it was bad and only played it on its most recent patch. This is probably quite relevant I would imagine to the impression it’s left on people.

It does run better than the original now after some patches but you still need to tweak a 14 year old game on modern hardware to get it to run at accetable levels. And then when you start digging you find that the people in charge did the bare minium amount of work in order to take your cash. This is unacceptable and I sure as hell will throw a fit about it. If we don't then this kind of thing will be the standard across the industry.
