The prices for the XG7 RGB STRIX/TUF Water Block have also been released and start at roughly €155.
Well, 30 series blocks cost around those 155. Everything 40 series is instantly 100€ more expensive. For pretty much nothing done in addition to this. The greed is so obvious it makes me want to be a very bad person.

You can get a 3090 block for as little as £115 but same model EK blocks theres only £10-£15 difference between 3090 and 4090 blocks. ( mostly around the £250 to £300).

yeah EK's going crazy these days, but honestly, I've bought my 1080Ti's waterblock for 150 back in the day, and my 2080Ti's block cost me ~170... EK's just losing it. Will probably go Byski or Alphacool blocks with my next build (mid year I guess) anyway. Not sure about fittings etc. though.

Yeah i had to go Ek for my 4090 as they produced the only TUF compatible block available at the time, i used a Phanteks on my 6900Xt and the whole package surpassed that of EK.

Yeah my (limited) experience is similar; EK's the easy way to go (and sometimes the only one because they seem to make sure to quickly adapt new blocks), but they are pricey, and not the top performers. BUT their manuals are pretty good, always worth a look when you have to unmount your GPU cooler for new TIM or something along those lines 😀

I got an EK waterblock and kind of annoyed cause they seemed to go rather lazy on new ones. Originally they stated new bracket and then quietly removed it and they made all the blocks chunky af, so now my power connector is recessed so far back I can't use 90 degree adapter from cable mod.

I use the normal adaptor but yeah didnt think of how that would effect things, they do offer good cooling though, my 4090 never goes over 25C above ambient (45C ingame for 20C case ambient).

Honestly, looking at it mounted, I'm not that impressed either. But at least you got that block, decent.

Great temps, love those +25 (would be about the same temp my 2080Ti generates, and it uses a lot less power even with OC)
