Right now a new system with 9900K and dual NVlinked GXT1180/2080 sounds mighty tempting...

Bye bye overheated ryzen cpu,s. with full of hardware related problems.
Don't know your work here so I don't even know if it's irony or not, but if it's the latter one: go and have a break.

You don't know Intel then. 9600K and 9700K will have the same performance in gaming, might be even better than the 9900K. Only fools or fanboys will buy 9900K for gaming.

lol what? i havent seen a single ryzen chip going above 85c even overclocked. meanwhile intel consistently going 90-100c
You would need LN2 cooling for Ryzen to reach Intel frequency, so it makes sense it runs cooler.

Nice clocs but i want see the price for them extra i9 9900k. I bez it will be somthing like 700$/650€ for i9

So the i78700k being 6/12 will be maybe better than the 9700k that is 8/8?

I have to admit it's tempting, all 8cores @4.7GHz. I wanted such cpu back in 2013, but all I had to offer was a 1000$ cpu in 2014 lol.. At least this 8 threaded is better then a regular 4core/thread cpu, I knew it would get handy now since 2016+. That said, I will pass, want something even more advanced, looking at you IceLake, but this crap keeps on stalling since 2016 and another 2 years to go..
Might get one. 5820K lacks control over AVX workload in the BIOS and it's imo hampering my ability to overclock it further. I have to literally ditch AVX if I want to push it further. That and I'm not that satisfied with the singl core performance.

Those chips look nice but having to buy a new MB to use them makes a very hard case for them, at least for me. Although sometimes i think if i should make a new build around these because they are probably the last CPUs from Intel to work properly on W7, that i want to keep as long as possible...

Hm. That could explain the rumors about solder, I guess.

I wanted 1080Ti back in 1999, too bad I only got it last year. Image the look of all the kids faces if I had such GPU back when everyone still played games in software mode.

You have a point but Intel is also being misleading in regards to TDP's. The entire point of TDP's was so that vendors could determine proper cooling solutions. When you are selling products that boost clocks, you at min should publish the all core boost TDP since that is something that will occur when simply using the CPU as intended. You will certainly need a better cooling solution than dissipating 95W. I think these are going to be damn good CPU's by the way. No Intel hate here.
I completely agree - the TDP is misleading and I really wish they'd tell us the boost TDP, but people on these forums should know better by now. Both and AMD have always based the TDP on base clocks. And even then, the TDP is a very crude estimate. I too think these will be good CPUs, but I assume their price : performance will be terrible, so I won't find myself recommending them to anyone. For the record, I don't care if people hate Intel. I hate Intel. But it's important to consider things objectively.

Industry constantly uses those misleading practices. Take LCD's for example, GTG latency instead of BTB.

All in all, we(consumers/enthusiasts) wanted 8c/16t in mainstream and finally got them. First from red team and now soon from blue team also. 2700X vs 9900K review! Oh boy! Can't wait!

I just want Amd or Intel to add a cooler that looks like a cast iron skillet and vent hood.

This has to be a joke.... My i7 6700 non-K is overclocked at 4.7GHz right now... on all cores. runs 1.35v 31c idle and 64c load. Ill wait a few more years till they come out with something better. Games cant even fully utilize what I have now...

A foolish - and irrelevant - remark. Troll much? You should be on wccftech, not here.
He is a bleep.. Go read some of his post. Im not an intel fanboy blah blah blah. Yawn what a tool bag.

9900k gonna have Ryzen owners scratching their head at how much faster it is... Yes, synthetic benchmarks to/ much less gaming....just saying.

I think it's actualy good news that soon 8 core Intel CPU gonna be mainstream, this will force the Game Dev's to tweak their Code to utilize more then 4 cores and then all the Ryzen 6C+ that cost around 50% less then Intels same core count will start to benefit 🙂. In the End Intel is Helping AMD that always sells more cores at lower prices 🙂.

I don´t think that´s going to happen. People buy Ryzen because of the amazing value that offers, something that Intel can´t match, and there´s very little from Intel to tempt them back. The only ones who might second guess their Ryzen purchase are the ones who bought an octa core because of gaming. Other than that i see no reason for Ryzen owners to scratch their heads...
