Large pinch of salt rqd, I still think AMD are keeping things close to there chest to avoid Intels dirty tricks of launching a competing product just before, however the competition is only good for us the consumer

zen 4 could be 15-19% faster than zen 3 clock to clock. Did You count 5,8GHz to 4,9GHz? That is cca 15 - 20% more faster? Or did i misread something?

15% and 35% faster in what? Overall? One specific application? I am so tired of these bs leaks. Anyone could have predicted ADL's performance, most people here guessed correctly even before a single leak was posted.

They probably mean overall, not ipc. If that’s true then zen4 will still be far ahead. On a side note, this competition reminds me of my youth when a 3 year old computer was considered a dinosaur. Although back then your cpu would hit 30% usage when moving your mouse curser.

This reminds me of amd presentation. Both companies are still hiding the real performance.

Both companies claiming just 15% performance improvements? Seems like they are both playing some kind of 3D chess game, to bait each other to make mistake or reveal their hands.

Headline should be "Is 13900K ready to battle Zen4 @ 5.5 GHZ?!"

*yawns, wake me up with Hilbert have em both tested to see the battle of those boys till then both Intel and can claim what ever they want .

Intel and AMD sandbagging till the real moment, I guess... Time to get the popcorn:)

"Arriving in late 2022, probably October".... as if, at this point, any release date is worth even the paper it's written on. It's purely random by now, which angers me more than anything else.

with 60% more power 120% if overclocked.

I'm surprised AMD aren't calling Zen 4 an 'overclocker's dream'.

The wonders of competition, nothing better than seeing AMD, Intel and Nvidia going after our money with good products from all of them.

I couldn't really care less what is fastest, I just love how rapidly the CPU space is advancing the past few years.

and this is why I want AMD to be reporting better gains on Zen 4.......

Intel is so interesting these days...almost all of their present advertising deals with "what's coming in a few months we hope", or "in a few years, we hope, etc." And of course, they are comparing the hypothetical CPU set for October release at the earliest with a CPU AMD has been shipping for a year+. Not one word about what AMD will be shipping in and about October, though. Perfectly silent about that...in light of what AMD/Hallock has revealed about the 40% uplift of Zen4 over the same Zen 3 core count, at a 170W TDP, it's probably not surprising of intel to post a theoretical comparison with an old Zen3, without mention of TDP...

Sounds like it'll still lose to the 5800X3D in some games and that Raphael is going to absolutely shrek it.

Cannot wait! Hope it will be fast enough to do recording and playback of 24-32 bit audio fast enough for “real-time”.

seen the same thing in zen4 presentation no mention of zen3d or alder lake comparing to old zen3 and did you miss that it actually does compare to 12900k ? why would they mention zen4 too ? it's intel's presentation, are you seriosuly whining about the fact they're not advertising amd's upcoming cpu ?

For some reason 13900 sounds less impressive than 12900.
