don't care about MT for gaming but if that ST score translates into fps on cpu bottlenecked games I might have to go back to Intel for gaming this might give 6900xt and 3090 a boost too as those cards are almost too fast for our cpus

It really feels like showing a benchmark where the number of threads doesn't scale based on the threads on the CPU is a bad multithreaded benchmark.

Was this due from DDR5?

Or maybe you forgot about the "E" cores and the fact that they would bring the multithreaded score down.

Hi folks don't mind little old me, just here for those clown tears.

My 5800x got more than that it's basic a box of things not only cpu matters
No shit, its a 8 core cpu.

IT has more threads more cores , it will be a lot faster in synth benchmarks . Let's wait for gaming performance which challenges different things , especially memory subsystem and cache.

Am I blind? I don't see the 5600X in the multithreaded listing here, also yeah those are notably low scores for the Single-Threaded Zen 3 items. I commonly see people nailing 680 1T scores, which is still notably slower than what Alder Lake is reporting... but Rocket Lake shows as having a higher single core performance and broadly performs worse in games than the 10th gen parts. I will wait until actual reviews come out. This is outright stupid at this point. The sheer number of times I've had to look at a CPUz benchmark is beyond counting. When did these benches become relevant on any level and wasn't it Intel that pushed the narrative on "real world benchmarks" over things like Blender (which is absolutely relevant but I digress) and Cinebench?

I'm gonna try grab an Alder lake next week, won't be fussed if i don't succeed sure as hell won't be getting a gpu after the price hike recently after BTC shot up. Just get a cpu next week and mobo next month, completion January.(onboard gpu)

why is 5900x missing from Multi but not in single core? Intel at it's best

Not gonna lie, I expected at least ~20% across the board. Not quite as impressive as I hoped. Oh well, I'm not due for an upgrade anyway.

I didn't. Total amount of threads on the CPU is 16. And your comment makes no sense. 4 fewer cores is much worse than 4 cores that underperform. I don't know the particulars of this bench software but if it averages the performance across the used cores/threads than it's intel's fault for picking the most idiotic benchmark in existence. And if it was a battery & perf/W sort of thing, if adding the E cores decreases that number than the E cores are shit to begin with.

Funny how an i5 makes 5800x irrelevant, not to mention 5600x (direct competitor) All good 🙂
Its a complete new cpu design with performance cores, in the past the cores wasn't separated so it's normal a new thing becomes better than the old ones

Wonder is the scalper bots will eat them all up in 2 seconds flat?

Leaked game benchmarks: If these are real, it means a 13% increase over Zen3. On average. That means it will probably tie with Zen3+ with 3D vcache.
Decent gains over the 5950X and over the 11900K specially. Nothing extraordinary but a step on the right direction from Intel after so many missteps.

It lost in SOTR , one of the best threaded games . Fake ?

Memory tweaking is EVERYTHING in this game 😉 PS: This game loves cache too. Max tweaked 10900k has some higher min fps than 5950x in this benchmark in some areas, but you can't see it in the end result because the max fps on 5950x is VERY high. More cache like the 3dstacked model that is coming, will do something about that. This benchmark likes low latency and big cache 🙂 This is my result with tweaked 3800c14 memory on 5950x pbo. https://www.diskusjon.no/uploads/monthly_2021_10/1399104565_Tombraider334fpsdisplay.thumb.png.6ffd0e111475d16ffdc6c7128ad69352.png https://www.diskusjon.no/uploads/monthly_2021_10/1218027468_Tombraider334fpsgraphics.thumb.png.9d2cf04f21cf493bb8ed2e105e357aca.png Can't wait to benchmark 12900k with max tweaked G.skill ddr5 in Tombraider 😀
