My mum would love those wooden cases, reminds me of the wooden TV we had growing up, took years for my folks to finally move to a plastic set.

That's cheap plywood, makes it look chinsy. If it was a higher quality wood product I'd at least look to see what the price was. The spherical case does look pretty cool though.

Yeah a nice mahogany or walnut would be better, the spherical case reminds me of a space helmet for some reason, looks cool tho.

nope, not interested. like many other cases it still has the usb/audio ports on the top. i would like to see designers/engineers arrive in "real life", where we experience dust, and all ports are on the side/bottom etc.
