This is Infinity Ward and Activision telling us "we've completely run out of ideas" without saying that they've run out of ideas. I think even for fans of the series, this is an obvious cash grab, and would find those first 3 paragraphs to be so over-embellished. It's just a FPS remake, not some revolutionary masterpiece.
It's one thing to reboot a series. It's another to remaster a classic from 20+ years ago. But these games aren't even that old. Most of the people who would be interested in these games are there for nostalgic purposes, so, when the feelings of nostalgia wear off and the novelty of the improved assets loses its impact, they're probably going to get bored real quick. So, this is an easy way to kill the franchise. Maybe if they remastered MW 1-3 as a single release, it would be okay since that would offer a lot of content and would be a less obvious middle finger to the fans.
I am in Canada now, will be back late July, and I'll definitely pre-order this badboy. I love MW, the original one with Captain Price and Soap, and as long as MWII has a SP Campaign mode, I'm all in! 😎
I'd prolly get a 7900XT for my main rig, my 6900 XT would go into my HTPC (i7 4770K, 16GB RAM) hopefully, it'd be able to do this game at 4K at 60fps at least. Are they gonna use a new engine or it's same-old same-old?

I really liked the reboot. I generally only play the campaign in COD games, and some co-op. If this is a sequel to the reboot, then I'm in when it eventually goes on sale.

Il do what i always do with these types of hype releases, il wait until the glitches have been patched and its on a Steam sale. been doing this with far Cry forever. i dont think ive ever paid more than £10 - £15 for a FC title.
